i am trying to be as respectful as i can here, and i hope you all will give me the same respect. we can agree to disagree if nothing else. but, i live here. i have seen the damage over the past years. i for one, respect all animals...and yes i hunt too. i hope i dont hear anything comments that hunters do not respect animals if they kill them. that is an absolute untruth. please do some research on the effect of elk. maybe you will broaden your horizon a bit and understand my point.

@idahochas or the weak, no they are looking for an elk in it's prime, so they can, I don't know, hang the head on a wall. I know some will say it's for food. If you live in a cave I can accept that answer, other wise it's an excuse for killing them. Like I said there are other ways to manage their populations, but it'salot easier to let billie joe bob out in the woods. So YES all animals are being killed senslessly.

wolves are not being senselessly killed, they are being managed like they should be....you know, like all other predators. we have an ethical obligation to manage all of our lands, fish and wildlife. you cannot let one species go unchecked. look at the rate of their population since 1995. if it is unchecked, we will face a much larger problem than we already have. if you do not believe that they have had a major impact on our elk herds, then you need to recheck your facts. our elk herds are.....

What controled animal populations before we came along with guns?? Now don't get me wrong ALL species humans included should have a population control.
