Imported Flip video into WLMM and audio is not in sync. The audio is sped up and I sound like a chipmunk! And if course speech does not match lips. I have to say that the developers of this program did a good job but i would like to see some speeding up and slowing down options. I really used those two options very much. Also I think they made it a bit more complex than wmm but it a change i can get used too.

@manakurei There isn't a simple transition. You can add a title page and change the color to whatever you'd like to transition to. Once it's created, use the fade effect between the two which will give you the same effect. Hope thing helps!

I'd actually like to just be able to remove/delete small chunks of video from the middle of a movie without WLMM thinking I actually want to keep the chunk I'm trying to remove (Trimming), I just want to delete x amount of frames then add-in a smooth transition for the change between the frames left over....

Yes it's great except I can't figure out the trim tool. All I can make it do is shrink the video down by changing the start and end point. Thats no good. I can't get it to "edit out" or trim out pieces in the middle??? Is there a way?

Yeah, you can do that with the "Split" and "Trim" tool, both available on the "Video Tools" tab.

If you want to cut parts from the middle of your video, you will use the "Split tool". First, select the start of the section you want to cut on the video timeline bar and click split. After it's been divided, repeat that step for the end of the section. This will leave you with 3 sections, any one of which you should then be able to delete. Hey Thanks, I did manage to trim out a piece of vid. I split it, then right click on the area that I want to trim and hit cut and remove. I still have a little trouble triming the right part on the first try but it takes me a few times. I was wondering if there is a way to repeat certain parts of the vid? Sorry, but we can't create tutorials for every use case. If you have source video files like those videos, then it will be easy link them together with title slides in Windows Live Movie Maker. If you're trying to create music videos like that, many of the video effects are still possible in Windows Live, but some are still created using much more sophisticated editing software and really nice cameras.

You can only apply effects to photos for the entire duration. If you want to have an effect come in after it shows the normal picture, then you can add a second copy and set the durations of each photo to match what you'd like.

As a user of a Mac, a lot of great stuff comes bundled.

But Windows is great if you want to customize what software you want with it. :D

Xialias is right. It's true, iMovie beats the hell out of Movie Maker. iMovie is free and comes on every Mac. And it's easy to use. And editing is much more fine tuned and customised.
