  • This song started out as a poem written by Yoko. As Yoko recalled, when John read the words he said "this is going to be big". Paul said it perfectly, it's an anthem.

  • A song of hope, a song of peace, a humanitarian -- so he gets gunned down. Think about it people -- take your fucking gun and shove it up your ass -- stop the killing. You know what -- if every single person who witnessed a shooting would turn the shooter in instead of the warped thinking about being a snitch (that is perpetuated by all men of evil) -- shooting would damn near end overnite because when you have nowhere to hide, you're nakedly exposed and headed to prison where you belong.

  • "It's a song of hope. You know, um, he was obviously more than a musician: he was a humanitarian, out there for the cause, trying to get people together to enjoy life - to enjoy the beauty God blessed us with."

    Imagine there's no Heaven,

    It's easy if you try,

    No Hell below us,

    Above us only sky,

    ...

Nothing to kill or die for,

    And no religion too.

    Nice try, Lenny.

  • Imagine there's no egomaniacs.

    Singing crappy songs.

    Songs with crappy lyrics.

That go on and on and on.

  • I have liked this song since it came out, but whenever I hear it now, all I can think after the first line is John being glad he was wrong about wishing there was no heaven.

  • hahaha yoko looks so retarded wtf

  • John Lennon is one of my favorite musicians but he is my least favorite philosopher. This is actually a very violent song. The doctrine of God hating and communism only destroys people. This is a very hopeless and depressing song albeit beautiful song.

  • @richardpeterjoseph1 i agree, john was good in ways but demonic in others people should like him for what he is a musician he's no god or crist that man was a wife beating cheating anti crist who offended many in his personal life walked out on his kids so he deffinitly doesnt care about you or me its politics people

  • Really Bono? You wouldn't be sitting in an interview about John Lennon if you had never heard John Lennon sing?

    No... way...

    G T F O

  • I miss John and I have never mad the guy. imagine how Paul, George and all the others must feel... wow

  • @888username 100% Yoko Ono had a highly ?able influence behind the whole charade, I'm pretty sure she had the intention of setting Lennon up at this time a weird hippy Christ-like figure for some new religion she had in mind, using the Beatles' popularity as a vehicle for it, with Lennon as the figurehead & her as the power behind the throne, & this song & vid was a part of that

I'll take Ticket to Ride any day of the week over this

  • @888888username Everything u say is quite true, but I maintain my view that this is a vastly overrated syrupy tune - with creepy undertones to it, & The Fabs were a great pop band, but that's it, they weren't the infallible genuises they're portrayed as by crazy fans & the media

  • @888888username If this wasn't by Lennon, say it was from an unknown u wouldn't give it a 2nd listen. It's just a pleasant vapid ballad, period.

    Lennon was no Shakespeare either

  • Massively over-rated tune

  • @kcirdrab over-rated you serious?

  • @SuperMariopuzo yep, seriously, way over-rated, if it wasn't by Lennon & an anthem for the hippie zeitgeist of the time it would have been forgotton long ago

  • @kcirdrab you poor deluded individual

  • @kcirdrab Actually this song was not over-rated -it was a extremely moving song during the time it was written-we had a vietnam war and young people were doing so serious soul searching and finding a better way of life for all human beings-not giving up and throwing in the towel like the young people of today

  • cool channel for sure. check my channel out n Yahweh bless hou

  • Lennon & McCartney,s name will be around for decades what a pairing, two legends.

just love pauls songs like maybe im amazed & 1985.been a fan for over 40 years.

  • mccatneys got money up the ass spread it around pig

  • Comment removed

  • two people are buffoons!

  • I think that John lennon's Imagine=Paul McCartney's Yesterday

  • I love hearing Paul talk about John's solo success with ZERO jealousy and just pure admiration for the man. From this interview alone I can tell that John and Paul had a wonderful friendship and that is a major reason why the Beatles were gods of music

  • Sorry MEANINGLESS is that better? :3

  • JUst a note jOHN ACTUALLY SAID IN AN INTERVIEW HE SAT DOWN - I THINK WITH YOKO - AND COMPILED A LIST OF NECESSITITES TO MAKE WORLD PEACE. . SO in all fairness credit where its due. My favourite however is Mind Games -

  • Imagine no bullshit debates on YouTube.. It's easy if you shut the fuck up and enjoy an amazing song...

  • @rosdinWByemeR yea, good point, but everyone wants to be "heard". Including you and I. lol...

  • I think in 300 years John will become a Jesus-like figure.

  • ARE YOU PEOPLE STUPID THATS IT BOW DOWN TO THE SUPERRICH STAND OUTSIDE WITH YOUR SGT SHITSTAIN ALBUM

  • Please photoshop Yoko Ono out of this video....

  • @ShareTheMike No Yoko - No 'Imagine'. That's 100% the truth.

  • The scary thing is Imagine probably wasn't even John's best song, that's how good he was. He was a man of a thousand voices. The Imagine voice was just one side of his, so it always irritates me when people isolate this one sensitive sound and one sensitive image of him and always think of him this way, because I usually think of him as the edgiest musician with the coolest rock voice ever.

  • whoa, when john looks into the camera it feels like hes looking into my soul or something.

  • Dear Lenny Kravitz:

    Imagine there's no Heaven

    It's easy if you try

    No hell below us

    Above us only sky

  • Where did that venom and hatred come from?

  • Comment removed

  • Look at that stupid Jap bitch...she even had to sit next to him at the piano.

Someone please tell me, what is the point of yoko ono?

Her existence is as meaningless as a fly or a wasp

  • @spacecowboy7580 Anyone who can inspire Lennon to write songs is ok in my book. It's so stange how people rag on Yoko, but not on Chapman. Like WOW.

  • @bilbomarks

Chapman was caught and is paying for murdering Lennon..although not enough, he should have been executed.

Yoko however, has never been brought to book for her part in breaking up the worlds greatest band..or indeed how she treated Julian after John's death.

She is/was a maanipulative bitch who whispered in John's ear and turned him against the other Beatles.

  • @bilbomarks fuck yoko nigga

  • @spacecowboy7580 you shouldent say that she made john happy

your existence is meanigles except for hating on people...

  • @ZoeBeattle

    Talk English or shut up.

  • @spacecowboy7580 go easy on flies and wasps!!

  • @taariqtaariq

" Get Back "to me when you have something intelligent to say...although I would " Imagine "..that is not very likely.

  • @spacecowboy7580 I was joking!, Yoko is, was and always will be a dud , a gold digger and a waste of space and air

  • @taariqtaariq Yoko is a "gold digger"? Why do people always impose onto others their own depraved failings. If you can only think in terms of money, that's pretty pathetic and says a lot about you. It says nothing about Yoko or her relationship with John.

  • Watch "America, Freedom to Fascism" on You Tube. Good stuff.

  • I'd like to listen to Paul's version of Imagine.

  • it's john's classic...it's a killer..

  • Boring song....nothing against John Lennon....over played....it's all about musical tastes-they wouldn't play it so often , even today, i just find it boring..always liked the fast stuff but if a vote were taken it would probably be me-the only one-who found it boring.

I look at it as a counter to Pauls' "Yesterday" actually, another boring tune.

  • Im not sure if you are just trolling or just very fucking estupid

  • @paygi110709 I only said that in reference to me -not everyone else. I thought i made that clear. Clearly it is a very loved tune. I guess that makes me "estupid"-right?

  • I guess just stupid

  • @norseleague so you came to this video just to express your boredom about the song. i don't see your point in wasting your time here.

  • John was so much more than a Beatle. What an awesome human being. He sought the truth and justice.

  • @AwesomeBeatles Well,it seemes you are not into The Beatles biography, are you? John Lennon-awesome human being?!? What TF!Man,read some facts first ,please.

  • 'Imagine' is pure communism, plain and simple: no possessions, no religion, no countries. Because ultimately capitalism and materialism is not the answer and living together without division of wealth and state is what we need.

  • @bigman25plus25 Well, in a way i can agree, you know lennon was being overly-utopian. Martin Luther King was but he has to suffer horribly to catch a glimpse of that dream, Lennon was never incarcerated nor beaten for that reason. He was an romantic idealist which at times can be more dangerous than evil people.

  • wow right at the end of the song you see the twin towers................

  • ironic that you see the World Trade center at the very end. "as the world will live as one" To bad the world wasnt more like John

  • i've seen those glasses that john wears in the imagine video, I stared at them for about 20 minutes

  • At the end of "and the world will live as one," on the video, we see the WTC twin towers. Living as one is not quite so simple as singing a song. You might say, "Well, his song says 'imagine no religion,' and were there no religions the twin towers would still be there." Howeverm if there were no religions, there would be no U.S.A. The first settlers came here as an escape from persecution for practicing their religion.

  • @RonBeam I think that last bit kind of shows just what he means when he sings 'imagine no religion'...

  • @RonBeam " there would be no U.S.A." lol that is laughable

  • @RonBeam That's only a part of the reason. Many of them came here for Economic Freedom

  • Except for John and Yoko this whole video is filled with wankers who have no idea what they are talking about.

  • Please translate into Russian, said that McCartney

  • what the fuck are you assholes talking about mccartney aint nothin but a money grubbin whore

  • The thing I dont get is when they try to call him a Humanitarian. He wasnt a Humanitarian. He spent 5 straight years never leaving his house. He lived in mansions...and as far as I know never gave a significant amount of money to places like Africa. He made a large profit off Political and Humanitarian themed songs.......but he was no Humanitarian

  • I regret seeing yoko

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski But I'm getting these straight from people like Cynthia... Oh wait that's right according to you she's a liar.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski I love how you dismissed early everything I said, Probably because you know I'm right but because Lennon is probably your role model or someone you look up to your still probably going to deny facts.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski Because his music changed you? Some people might say Axl Rose's music changed them. That suddenly doesn't change the fact that Axl Rose is a douchebag. Let's not worry about the things that are wrong with us? That's a laughable statement, Because what if the persons arrogant and hot tempered? Everyone is flawed, I just hope I'm not flawed enough to abandon my future son.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski This is a disgusting comment, Julian is better off then getting all the love he deserved just for a bigger purpose? Julian was a cry baby? Well he WAS a baby. Left invalid? Not only have you insulted a large part of Lennon's family but you seem that he is redeemed because he was famous.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski Sorry, I'll just call Cynthia a lying ho for saying such things about Lennon even though... he may have admitted it... ANyway. And him being distant from his kids especially Julian is a fact not an opinion. Again, I've stated facts that ARE actually facts which have put you into denial. And then stated my opinion. I've done nothing wrong, Just because he dies doesn't make him immune from criticism.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski So when someone dies we're suddenly not suppose to criticize. Oh man, So we shouldn't criticize people like Joseph Stalin just because they're dead?

And I'd never look up to John lennon, I'd respect him as a musician and nothing more. I mean I'm sure you wouldn't do what he did and abandon his first son and barely communicate with his son he had with Yoko.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski Cynthia admitted to it. It's not maybe he did maybe he didn't, It's he did. And he admitted to it to, but he probably did change over the years as most people do.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski She basically did everything for him since Lennon was insecure, she gave him the will to go on. He often slapped her so hard that she would whack into the wall. Seriously look up Lennon, Good musician, shit guy.

  • @MrKazallenkuczynski He basically left nothing on his will for Julian, He though the song Hey Jude was about him. John constantly cheated on his wife and violent towards her (Cynthia). He wasn't even close to his son with Yoko. John did not leave his son for the band because he never even visited him on his free time. Cynthia lived in fear because of John's angry reactions and his jealousy. Cynthia did not get jealous once even though John constantly cheated on her. Be Continued.

  • @MunisAwesome Though I agree that John could be a nasty piece of work to Cyn and Julian, I'm pretty sure he only hit her once. I don't think physical violence was his way of defeating her...more like emotional neglect. And John was very close to his son with Yoko. Listen to the Lost Lennon Tapes, or watch some of his home videos. He loved Sean, and he loved Julian. I think he just didn't know how to show it very well to Julian in the beginning and didn't know how to make up for it later.

  • @McLen194042 Nope, Even his son Sean said they weren't close. Yoko tries to make them look like they were closer by naming certain events where they were together but compared to their relationship on the larger scale. They weren't close.

  • Its Not Pop Damn

  • BONO CHUPALO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @richardthelionheart John was saying simply that we all imagine things, and he suggest a few. He´s not telling you to give away all your things, he´s simply telling people what if you dream a little. Then we could do whatever we want to do. And about God, John only was saying "Imagine no religions", he was not saying that he didn´t believe in God. In fact he did.

There are meny Lennon interviews in internet. He explains himself very good. Hear John Lennon, but the REAL one, not the stereotype.

  • @PaulMcCartneyChile Oh yeah the REAL one, I forgot about him..... which one is he again?

Wish some people would wake up.

  • @PaulMcCartneyChile

In my opinion you are wrong.

Imagine theres no heaven or hell, imagine all the people living for today. that means that without god in their lifes people will live better. It's not just a dream, that's his dreams and ideas. no countries no religion no nations no possessions

clearly he was an extreme socialist..

  • @PaulMcCartneyChile

I agree 100 percent... by saying "Imagine no religion" he was commenting on how religion creates divisions in society...which it does. He was not saying he didn't believe in God. Now the song "God" on the other hand is more complicated. Only he knew what he actually believed in or didn't believe in.

  • @Elguitarmysterioso "God is a concept by which we measure our pain" - sounds complex but its really simple. When people, who believe in god, are in pain, they turn to their god for help or answers - the pain subsides and they go about there merry way. Its the same reason you see people on death row, whom have been non believers and reckless their whole life suddenly becoming devoted followers - fear and pain. The severity of which will influence how much you need your god, I guess.

  • @chadblackey It's true that people often seek solace in God when they are in pain. Doesn't mean He/She/It or whatever doesn't exist just because we are weak and afraid little humans. Have you ever read up on the philosopher Kirkegaard?

  • @Elguitarmysterioso Thats not fully true. BELIEF-SYSTEMS create Division in society, whether they're Religious or not. Look at Fascism, Communism, Socialism..........these are not Religions. But do you seriously think they havnt created Division in our society? Of course they have. Lennon was a guy that liked to rebel against the status quo....because it was his way of coping with the mediocre family circumstances he had. He had no more of a clue than you or me about these things.

  • Comment removed

  • @williwo I doubt Lennon thought people shouldn't maintain any of their belief systems. Remember this is a guy who at one point was a leader of the movement that wanted to stick flowers in guns. "I still believe in love" he was quoted as saying. I think he was just opening our minds to question our existing belief systems. Which I do every day, and in spite of it all hold unto a good deal of my religious beliefs (I'm Jewish)

  • @PaulMcCartneyChile

    @richardthelionheart

    When you'll see the World:

    911 in name of Muhammed

    crusade in name of christ

    Palestein Jews & holy land

separation of country in name of religion(India-Pakistan division where more than 1million died)

    You'll Say Imagine No Religion

  • @aniqwertyani

    - all the reasons you give for me to imagine no religion

    And by that logic,

    'Imagine there's no ____"

    - Cars, because there have been automobile accidents.

    - Planes, same reason

    - Bands and albums and artists because they have stirred controversy

    - Leaders, because there have been some corrupted

Oh, and imagine no YOU, because people can also make mistakes, be corrupt, on and on and on.

Take the logic to it`s ultimate end and you have to rid youreslf of *all*

  • @PaulMcCartneyChile you re so right. I feel this beautiful song it s more than that it s a pray, because imagining peace, is in fact a pray for it :-)

  • @PaulMcCartneyChile you re so right. And this could be the song of the century and probably the song that anticipates the future, when may be humans can imagine and manifestate that. I feel this beautiful song it s a pray, because imagining peace, is in fact a pray for it :-)

  • @richardthelionheart What logic is there in God? a Book full of myths, bad arguments and closing your eyes to facts and science, only when it goes against God but not about medicine or anything that helps you. Answer me that

  • @AlvahWatson1

I see you are avoiding my point about John's hypocrisy. My point is John Lennon makes a bad case himself personally. The funny thing is you would probably like me; I thru an experience have chosen to follow Jesus - but am radically opposed to conventional organized religion or the public farce called "christianity" as demonstrated by TV "evangelists" - the same stuff you despise.

  • @richardthelionheart Well his song is more about world peace than anything else. He wants all to come together as brother/sisters and not fight in pointless wars, ect. You are taking one part of his song and using it agasint the rest of the song, that is called the strawman fallacy, and please do not talk to me about experience. Muslims, Hindus, Chrisitian, Jews, Catholics, Olympic Greece, all felt "experiences" of their God. That is called a delusion.

  • @AlvahWatson1

Take a bank cheque and write your name on it.

Then, when you show it to the teller to verify your signature, they could answer, "What signature? All I see is some ink on some paper." Now you have to prove your signature is valid...

Some of us look at our planet and all they see are the people, the trees and the mountains (the ink and paper).

I look at it and see God`s signature, right in front of me, plain as the one you endorse a cheque with.

    Peace to you,

  • @richardthelionheart That is so vague and nonsensical. I could say everything you said and instead god put Vishnu or Zues. Why is it your gods signature and not theirs?

  • @richardthelionheart it's poetry. it's meant to take you away from the real and the concrete and present things in ad different way. if john lennon owned a 70,000 piano, its because he could. and if you could you would too. its the way the world has been and still is. he's telling you he rather didn't own anything and i believe him. but at the same time i don't expect him to go live on the street because of his deepest beliefs. more often than not our ideals don't match the reality of things.

  • @0armin0 But thats kind of Hypocritical in a way. Many of the same people who like Lennon, are the same ones who rail against CEO's for making the large profits they make. When in fact, Lennon was probly making more than most of them. Thats a grossly unfair double-standard. And it strips away credibility for those who try to go there. He's telling u he rather wouldnt own anything? Well if he wanted, he could have owned a lot less. Nothing forced him to buy those things. I dont buy it

  • @williwo yes but most of those CEOs attained such wealth through a lot of political mind games, through pulling strings and through a lot of dirty work, while someone like lennon mostly relied on his own opinions and his own true intelligent. artists are widely considered to be some of the most elite human beings thats why there's so much respect for such ppl. because they could capture the human condition and condense it into tangible forms such as music and art.

  • @0armin0 Thats not true at all. Theres a lot of CEO's who worked their ASS off to get where they're at....and did it the honest way. Sure there are some corrupt ones.....but a lot of people are just envious at the same time. Lets face the facts. Artists are not "elite".....thats a very Arrogant and egotistical thing to say. They're not better than anyone else. They just happen to be doing something that is more Global and reaches a wider audience........kind of like............CEO's.

  • @williwo lets face it, some ppl like yourself, dont have a clear understanding of what an artist does and implications of art works. if you dont think art is elite and artists like lennon are not elite members of the human community then we're def on different pages and arguing would be pointless. and i love the fact that you call me arrogant and egotistical. that seems to be a lot of ppls response when they simply dont agree. they just go around calling others arrogant. thank mate...

  • art is a huge part of what makes culture. im not saying artists are better ppl or super humans. you clearly didnt understand me. but their work is elite...because art emphasizes individuality in a way no other medium of human expression can. i dont even kno how we got to comparing CEOs and artists...thats a far fetched comparison to me is irrelevant to the discussion of the value of art in society.

  • @0armin0 Lets not face it.......cuz theres nothing factual you're saying. Art is a general word. And can be used to describe many different things. ANYTHING can be passed off as art, because it is some form of creation. When G.G. Allin used to deficate on stage, and sling it at audience members, that was considered "Art." So when you say "Art is elite." Thats a rather shallow statement.........because its not describing WHAT is elite. I guess as an Artist, Allin was also "Elite."

  • i really recommend you read up on the philosophy of aesthetics. it basically discusses the parameters necessary for a creative work to be considered art. no, i would say shitting on stage isnt art. but this song is definitely high art. your example is irrelevant and your attempts at generalizing the discussion do not provide any real argument. again, to emphasize my point, art can be looked at separately from the artist. hence, the WORK OF ART can be called an ELITE part of human life

  • @0armin0 Stop trying to fancify your argument to attempt to make yourself appear smarter than you are. Art, as everyone knows....is SUBJECTIVE. You cant just say..."Well now, it has to meet these certain qualifications to be Art." Thats ridiculous. Its in the eye of the beholder. One man's Mozart may be another man's pile of crap. It comes down to subjective opinion, not substantiated fact. Art is a means of individual expression. The quality is determined by personal opinion of the work.

  • @0armin0 Also, if you knew about Aesthetics as much as you claim.....you would know that the word "Art" itself has evolved over the 20th century. You're trying to take something general, and make it specific. Art is a highly general word. You cant measure Art like you can something like Sports. It doesnt work that way. People like a certain art....or they dont. Theres no "Well its a High piece of art for a FACT." No, sorry...subjective things are just that......subjective

  • Comment removed

  • @williwo art hasn't just evolved during the 20th century. it's evolved over thousands of years of expression. yes art is a general word. the discussion about weather one can look at art objectively or subjectively is another matter. A work of art is a something thats out there. you can't change it and neither can i. it can definitely be looked at objectively if you have the right tools. however, that doesn't rule out the fact that it can also be looked upon subjectively so you're right there.

  • @0armin0 When I said "Art".....i was referring to the meaning of the word, not the actual concept. The meaning of the word has evolved throughout the 20th Century alone......so the meaning isnt something that has been settled on for a long time. It has continued to evolve up until our own time.

  • @williwo lol so now you're disputing the fact that the meaning of a certain word cannot be used to describe the whole concept? then what is language for?by the beginning of the 20th century, "ART" was already a well established part of society and its meaning deeply engraved in society. the suggestion that the word art has only been evolving in the 20th century is foolish. what about the renaissance? or the realist movement, or the impressionist movement? all happened before the 20th century.

  • @0armin0 lol....u dont know how to read an argument properly do you? When I said "Alone"....I wasnt saying the word evolved only in the 20th century.....i meant that the word had evolved a lot in the 20th century, just by itself, without even considering all the other centuries. That means the word has evolved quite a bit just since 1900. Therefore, your reply was rather pointless.

  • the bottom line is, ppl whos world revolves mostly around materialistic will go so far to ignore the artistic accomplishments of an artist and instead look at his or her personal way of life, and on the other hand ppl who can look beyond such things will continue to appreciate the essence of art for what it is. lennon's dead. his wealth doesnt matter anymore. but his message is still relevant even more than before. that is far more superior to anything else lennon did in his lifetime.

  • @richardthelionheart Start posting things when you are 12 or older.

  • @richardthelionheart man thats stupid, life is that way Hes just saying imagine if it wasnt. He had all that shit made all that money Hes not just gonna throw away or donate all of it. what do you expect

  • @richardthelionheart With a heart as pure as yours, why dont you send Mark David Chapman a thank-you card? Oddly enough, he shot the guy with the same anti-materialism reasons

  • @richardthelionheart fuck you

  • @richardthelionheart there is no God.. idiot..

  • @PXDGUITAR "there is no God.. idiot.."

Of course there is no idiot God!

    Well said.

    Bravo.

  • @richardthelionheart Please don't try to disect Lennon. You won't get anywhere.

  • @richardthelionheart Alas! For if Logic is the matter then you must understand that you are dealing with a symbolisms within this song! Possession, Lennon meant not the action in-itself but the need of having a possession with you. Some people cannot go on because they still feel they possess or belong to someone or something, and that is what makes these people feel down, the need to possess or be possessed. We know we material are sufficient conditions to live, they are not necessary.

  • @MalditoNihilista I believe that you need to go further into Lennon's words. Sometimes he is being superficial on certain words, on some others he is not (just as in the beautiful world of 'possession'). Keep on looking into some other insightful thoughts, just remember to be careful. We all own, but we need to be careful for the 'own' does not own us in the process. That would be the logic and philosophical writing for it.

  • @richardthelionheart ur the one that dislike right?

  • @richardthelionheart lol you dont have to buy things to hear music.... all you need is your voice. and yea a man in the sky who can see all and know all... sounds a lot like santa if you ask me. But john was saying imagine no lables with the religion.. just imagine if everyone belived in what they want without being tied down to the lable of christianity or of islam or watever.. and no one would judge you on it .. thats all

  • @richardthelionheart Do you know that Jesus Christ rebuked the very Pharisees who were the quintessence of religiosity? Draw your own conclusions, plus he even called them, venemous vipers...nuf said.

  • "Trying to get people to come together" get it? hehe

    Pun intended? ;D

  • I agree- Yoko Ono is one of the most useless people of all time.

  • Paul looks so good here.

  • Is there a cover by Mccartney for this song?

  • @justsmilehomie ye im wondering too, i found this searching for a cover actually

  • @RoadCrewOfficial I also found this while seaching the cover and I think most of the people did so.

  • I honestly don't think the Beatles were rock stars on a personal level.I think they were all good englishmen who grew up in a real post world war time and had the ethics of their society.I mean they were all married and no one died of a drug overdose so realistically they were all very human.

  • greatest song of the 20th century.

    GENIUS

  • paul, elton john, bono, lenny kravitz, todos tienen razon. IMAGINE ES UNA TREMENDA CANCION.

  • I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS SO MY COMMENT STANDS OUT ABOVE EVERYBODY ELSE'S BECAUSE MY INSIPID GUSHING IS THAT IMPORTANT!

  • Why does Paul McCartney never try to sing Imagine? It would be very interesting.

  • @EloiWeena He'd have to get the permission of John's Estate to do it. Paul sings Give Peace a Chance now as it was originally released as Lennon/McCartney.

  • @beatlechick1 Paul doesn't need John's permission, they were soul mates. Also i think Paul is the only person in planet earth right now who could does the best tribute to John's Imagine.

  • @EloiWeena Soulmates or not, a performer needs the permission of the writer, or their estate, to perform a song. That is the legalities of performing.
