Yeah, he was supposed to die at the end of Gluhen, but the manga/drama CDs Side B retconned that so he lives. Pick your favorite--that, having atoned for his sins, he dies peacefully, or that he lives one as an assassin and continues to kill the dark beasts in the night. Either one is cool, and either one is totally canon.

Also, this AMV is just perfect.

To date there's no more anime, but there's a manga series running in Japan right now called "Side B" that follows what happened afterwards. In the manga, Aya is rescued shortly after the stabbing and lives. He and Ken move to England and join an assassin team called Kriptonbrand Side B. There's quite a bit of it out already; I have five volumes of it from Japan, and it's still running in Ward magazine. It's definitely worth checking out if you love Weiss.

Definitely check out Gluhen! It's my favorite series of the three. It takes some adjusting to (since there's only one mission, rather than one per episode), but it's a good story overall with new characters to boot.

Sorry for the late response! The song is "Joy" by the band VNV Nation. This is a butchered edit of it; the song is actually almost six minutes long, so I cut off the last minute and a half to make the vid a more reasonable length.

Thank you! The additional scenes are from a set of specially animated music videos put out officially in Japan only. It's commonly called "Music Video Clips", and if you poke around online and on Youtube you can probably find the original videos (I used footage from "Tokyo Sling" and "Carnival 2000", but there's two other videos as well).

This video is awesome! The choice of song is great, and the transitions from scene to scene are excellent. My only complaint is the sudden ending.

Thanks! Yeah, the ending is abrupt largely because no matter how many hours I spent editing it, I couldn't get it to cut off cleanly. The actual song goes on for another minute to minute and a half of instrumental music after where I cut it off. I'll probably revisit editing the song again once I finish learning Final Cut Pro; it seems to have better audio editing tools than Adobe Premiere.
