she's my hero in country music. That's why I ove country music because there is dolly parton. She is the definition of a true country artist. She did not only brought country music to bigger cities like new york and the entire world, she embedded it into our hearts.

You know, I used to be a Dolly Parton hater until I grabbed one of her greatest hits albums. Now I don't think I'd really be able to go anywhere or do anything without that beautiful voice and glamorous personality.

I remember when this first aired on TV ! That summer Dolly had lost a lot of weight before filming 9 to 5. I also remember the photos in the newspapers at the time ----- Pres. Carter embracing Dolly. The press had a field day !

What great clip...and what a treat to see President and Mrs. Carter too! I vaguely remember watching this on TV when it aired in the '70s. Didn't Dolly jokingly refer to them as Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter-Cash? For some reason I remember that.
