My kids do remember the monorail. Thank you for your comment. I think it is fun to feel like you are really riding the monorail.....especially going through the tunnel and being next to the Clock of Nations when it is open! Too bad it is gone.

No problem. The Clock of Nations is still around, but the Monorail is still Missing In Action. Last I heard, it was going to be displayed as some type of an art sculpture at Artisan Works. Nobody over there wants to tell me anything. Originally, I was supposed to acquire the Monorail.
This is my own personal video. I was allowed to ride inside the monorail because I'm small.....usually parents were not allowed. The baby is my son who is now 19.
@TheLadybugmommy This is without a doubt the best Midtown footage (besides my own) that I have ever seen on YouTube. I've heard stories about parents getting on the Monorail with their children. Didn't think it was actually true though. Does your son remember Midtown at all? I'm 25 and I barely remember riding the Monorail in '88. I had pictures, but they mysteriously disappeared. Only one is still around.
@TheVerdeCuervo Over Christmas 2011 the City of Rochester erected the Monorail and Santa's Mountain somewhere downtown for a couple weekends.

Where on Earth did you find this footage!? It brings back a lot of memories! I last rode the Monorail in 1988.
