Turn your PS3 System of, then wait for 15-20 seconds. Then Hold the Power Button until the System Turns Off. Wait for approximately 10 seconds than Hold the Power Button until it does a rapid "Double Beep", then let go. This will make your PS3 Go to the Recovery Menu. Choose "Rebuild Database" and your PS3 should work. Good Luck and happy Gaming :)

this how i fixed my slim i followed the manual it says to unplug the usb and press the power button and hold for 15 secs. switch it back on it got fixed. the problem started when i tried quitting mw2 and it froze with black screen shit story i tell ya.

I have the problem that when i put my HDMI cable in my ps3 system i get white sparkles in-game this does not happen by the home menu.

U all are stupid as hell it's the disk drive hdd u need to remove it then u need to clean it dust off the prongs then put it back in then it will say that the system failed to start restart it with no disk in the drive then it should work:)

I went to safe mode and even restored the ps3 system, the 5th option, i lost all my files and it still didn't help my ps3, its so slow, it doesn't even go on users til 5 min later, and then while playing final fantasy i can't even move and it takes several minutes to save something, in the past it took less than 10 seconds... any solutions on why its so slow, i don't have warranty either...

Reset your ps3 on secret menu you can find on google! it will delete all your saved data But at least you saved the PS3 ;)

just hold the button down til' turns off. once off do it again(hold button down), it's going to beep once! keep holding then let go the button when it beeps 2 times. after that it will show you options to reset or other stuff. if you cant fix it i'll buy if from you ;)

I had a 60GB which caused me catastrophe it had ylod and since i don't have my receipt i'm forced to buy a Slim because this 2011 there R no "Phat" ps3. i set a limit of exact 3 hours every time i play my Ps3 slim i use iPhone timer to do that, I did all this to take care of this because i had it with the YLOD before. but seriously i was surprised to see a frozen screen in front of me so WTF? it's on 3.50 firmware haven't connected to the internet since before.

Hi, I just bought my Ps3 320GB "Assasin Brotherhood bundle" just 3 days ago and on the third day to be exact, while killing all the dang guard and assasinating a borgian captain the BRAND NEW PS3 just froze.. that's why i'm here @ UR Video watching different freezing issues... luckily i was able to press the power button to restart it...

it should not be overheating i would be mad if a 18 degree room is an issue my room is very cold i have to use comforter sheet to warm me while playing!

Okay, this probably does even relate to your problem but here's a suggestion. I would move your PS3 to a different area. Somewhere it's not almost directly in front of a wall like in this video. PS3s need ventilation to prevent overheating.

I wrote about how to get the dust out of the slim and get the game out two well u can get the game out the same way with the fat but with the fan test u turn off the switch then hold down the eject button then turn the switch back on and when it is down u turn the switch off and then turn it back on fat I will do it every month slim every other month

@tomanatorness ok my brother last year rented a used 40gb ps3 from rent center and I didn't do the fan test to it but he had it for long time like 6 months and the fan was loud so I ask him if he wanted me to do the fan test and he say yes and I did I turn it off and turn it back on the fan wasn't loud no more it went back down to normal speed and I put my hand next to it and you can feel the air comeing out of the system again.

Do the ps3 fan test get the dust out u unplug the power cord from the ps3 hold the eject button when u holding the eject button down put the cord back in and it will blow most of the dust out after it stops unplug it and plug it back in that is how u get games out if they don't come out the first time.
