I was a person who attended the speeches and ceremonies before the walk and my grandmother, Mary Pat McMahon, gave an amazing speech. Our family has gone through so much and at the age of 13, at the time, i do not joke around about suicide like some of my friends do. I lost my uncle matt before my parents adopted me and it hurts to know that i never got to meet him. My grandmother, and my family is grateful to have have this and my grandmother has done so much to support her family, friends..

Our team (Aaron's Anglers) did the walk for my son Aaron who was 15 when he took his life. Aaron suffered from undiagnosed depression. These walks, along with the community walks, help aid in erasing the stigma surrounding depression and suicide, while providing a mechanism for family and friends to start the long journey of healing.
