I went to their concert in Houston on 12-5-10 and they were freakin awesome!!!!

The light show was fantastic!!! When they played Wizards of Winter and Carol of the Bells, me and my friend went CRAZY!! Well, AT LEAST I DID!!

At the very begining of Carol Of The Bells, right before the real music started, me and my freind were the only ones cheering besides like 2 or 3 other people, IT WAS A BLAST!!! And it was my first concert!

i saw these guys and gals in birmingham, al back in 2008 on new year's eve. got the tickets for christmas that year.

when they were about to play "wizards in winter", the leader asked the audience, "have you guys seen that video on youtube of the house with the lights that are synced to one of our songs?" we all screamed, "yes!" and he said, "y'all ain't seen shit."

and he was right.

that was the most amazing show of lights I've ever seen.

absolutely phenomenal. wish i could go this year.

aaronator: all floor seats are chairs (at least that i know of)

techlink: all shows are set up by each individual locations local union of stagehands. also, the lighting displays and all effects are, im sure, done using a lighting console connected via dmx &/or wireless dmx.... and would require nowhere near 120 people.... the entire show is pre-programmed into that board

The lighting and screen effects are pre programmed. But Bryan Hartley can override of make changes during the show. Movable truss is a DMX board. Pyro is a whole other story I wont go into.

Local unions are used, but each tour does take about 120 people out with them. So whoever said 120 is close. Most of them just set up, eat, sleep, tear down, transport. Some of them actually work the show.

@aaronator235 This is a concert where you can stand up and rock out! I've been to one. It is amazing!!! If you ever get the opportunity, I definitely recommend it! I've been addicted to this group for years, in fact my senior year of high school, which was two years btw, my concert orchestra did a rendition of Wizards of Winter. Talk about awesome!!!

@aaronator235 it's a little of both. People go to see an orchestra, but the rockers immediately start encouraging you to ignore them. They don't talk about the orchestra at all other than to say they just met them yesterday, and talk mostly of these old failed bands they were in. Not one of the rockers ever escaped the 80's, that's for sure. Basically they want you to rock out and pretend that they got there without the help of the orchestra half of their show
