  • Awesome

  • Many years ago Pino was playing with Jools Holland's big band and supported my band on tour (that's true but still a joke if you get my meaning). Pino was showing me how to do something incredibly outrageous on the bas - telling me "It's easy - just keep trying"! I did and bless him, I did get it but around 10 years later. Bless him! Such a talented and gentle guy who I have ultimate respect for. Very special indeed.

  • Do u think Pino know Darryl Jones ?

  • I think it was a Jazz with Paul Young.

  • @donmcbass Hi, no definitely a MM Stingray...a converted fretless (ebony fb) from, I believe, 76 or 77. Also sunburst finish.

  • @eusiev Pino's fretless is a 79' factory fretless with a rosewood board. Not sure if the one he uses now is the same bass from the paul Young period as he owns several but theres a pretty good chance.

  • @fretlessbob Thanks for the info. 79 factory fretless is new info for me!

  • Is that a musicman??

  • @Batmailord Yes it is, a musicman stingray, unlined fretless. sunburst. I am not sure whether it is the same bass he played his legendary bass lines on for Paul Young, Oleta Adams, Don Henley etc....

  • 1:05 of Pino playing out did some bassist whole set of playing hip hip hooray for PINO!!!!!

  • There is a criminal lack of Pino Palladino solos on Youtube. Keep 'em coming!!

  • @dharmaseed I could not agree more.

  • @dharmaseed That is soo true.

  • Pino is the man!
