I had a dream of the next episodes the way i want it to work out! my dream was: Mel is still asleep on jims hospital bed and she dreams all of this and the he gets to be sam for a lil while and then Sam (jim) dies and jims ghost goes back to mel. then she finds herself next to JIM'S body and he recently died but she told him how to go back into his body and he does so he lives! I hope that is how it turns out!!!

I am sad that Jim died, but in a way its very cool. He could help Melinda a lot from the other side and the show now gets to explore something that has seldom ever been done and even more rarely doen well. Love and the power of love even after death. Also they could delve into what its like for the ghost. Imagine an entire episode from Jim's point of view, now that he's dead? Still I do hope somehow he gets to come back, Melinda deserves a good man and Jim is definitely a good man.

@ZoeyNChase159 : Jim didn't want to cross over. The detective that accidentally shot Jim had a step daughter that died of anorexia, but she crossed over. And then Jim sort of "reincarnated" into a man's body, and didn't recognized Melinda. That's pretty much everything, I guess. I'm not that good at telling, so you should probably watch it online.. :p

Can't wait for more, I cried when Jim died!

Just finished watching the Nov 14th episode. Strange ending. The biker guy is going to think that Melinda is a nutcase. My guess is that "the powers that be" will reward Melinda with all the good she has done by giving Jim his life back. Just like the ending of the 70's movie Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

because all they show us is jim. melinda see's jim, because that's all this guy is to her. they randomly show what the real guy, sam, like when delia or someone else see's him because they don't understand/believe that he is jim. but when delia is convinced that it is jim in sam's body she see's jim.

I would like to see how it is all going to play out, in New Zealand we are only at the 12 episode of season 3 so I have a while to wait until season 4 airs. I hope he doesnt end up leaving the show, and that he may stay around as a ghost or even better they bring him back to life but have him be a different person.

it was so sad. jim dies in 6 and 7 he is a ghost but maybe ep. 8 is his funeral and we find out he has a twin brother or something. but i really wish he didnt die. the show will never be the same and niether will melinda her life wil be like ruined cuz i think it was in season 1 htey showed how everyone hated her nin college except jim so how will she ever find antother husband like that

I predicted before the last episode of last season that Jim would die if he wasn't already dead at that point. The reason being was because it looked like Payne and Melinda are supposed to end up together, but Jay Mohr goes and gets his own show. Now perhaps David Conrad wants off the show too, and that will ruin the whole dynamic of how the story is supposed to go if Jim dies. It would basically ruin the show...that would be like Ted dying on How I Met Your Mother, pointless. He may be dead.

Ok so who is Sam? Like a twin or something or spirit put in the wrong body? I am so confused? I like the in between scenario. In a coma but Melinda can still see him b/c well.. she's Melinda. If they do kill him off I hope its a long time coming! Like he hangs on until he knows she will be ok... That would make the sadness a little less. But then... On the End of The Episode... It will be proven that Jim will be alive(Which I dont know how)
