Tail lights look cool. The car itself just looks way too long for a sports car. It has to handle well too. I understand that they are trying to retain this car as a police car also but not as attractive as a camaro or mustang.

It's coming next model year, but only in the Pentastar V-6; I think it'll come with the HEMIs in '13. I think Chrysler is trying make sure everything is sync'd before it comes into Dodge showrooms. The V-6 isn't shabby either, actually with the 8-speed auto according to some sites, the fuel economy will be 20 city/ 31 highway with a V-6 with 292 horsepower; how 'bout that? For the HEMI fans, we may have to wait another model year for the 8-speed auto.
Everything from the front doors up looks great. The back half looks like shit. Looks like you tried to have your cake and eat it too; half Challenger, half Charger, and neither one works. I have the 2006 RT, but I sure as hell won't be getting the 2012 now that it's all paid up. And I don't know what the specs are, but it looks WAY smaller than my old Charger. Booo! I guess I'll be looking at the new Camero.

It needs to look more like the Classic Chargers of 68-70. Dodge needs some styling ques from that 2nd generation of Charger, and i see a few, but its too exotic and exaggerated. Looks more like a hot wheels Charger concept vs an actual Charger.

But what they need to do is take more inspiration from the old Chargers and put two doors and a manual transmission on it. Chargers were always two door cars until they decided to make a four door in 2006...

I Agree with you %100 on that about makin' it a coupe in the first place and an MT, but you gotta remember this one thing: If dodge made Chargers 2 doors, then it would be conflicting with the sales of the Challenger, seeing as it's ALSO a coupe and it happens to have an MT available and the fact that they use the same engines. This way sales can be about even more or less for those who prefer Muscle sedans to muscle coupes and vice versa.

hey. i saw a black one on the road, it looked like a charger but i wasnt sure so i looked up 2012 dodge charger and then i saw the tail lights and i said that, this is the car i saw. i really like it.
I have a 2009 Charger and I must say I like the old style better. I like the inside of the new Charger, but the exterior looks like a 4 door Mustang. That indentation in the door makes it look even more like a Mustang not to mention the added the aerodynamic body to it.
I'm not impressed. Maybe the look will grow on me over time.
And they totally screwed up the look of the Chrysler 300 as well. Looks like a Ford as well.

This new Charger is definitely an improvement in terms of looks and power over the last one. It's just so...damn...big. But I still love the new retro styling on the rear of it and the new wheels are cool too, they're like a combo of the last ones from the R/T, R/T Daytona and the SRT8. But yeah this one looks even meaner and I definitely love the new 6.4L engine in the SRT8s. As cool as it is I'd definitely take the 2012 Camaro ZL1 over this any day.

I have a 2009 Charger and I must say I like the old style better. I like the inside of the new Charger, but the exterior looks like a 4 door Mustang. That indentation in the door makes it look even more like a Mustang not to mention the added the aerodynamic body to it.
I'm not impressed. Maybe the look will grow on me over time.
And they totally screwed up the look of the Chrysler 300 as well. Looks like a Ford as well.

@EscoNetwork I like it but you are 100% correct. It looks just like a 4 door mustang. I will say Dodge is trying to make a better quality vehicle. The interiors are no longer clunky and cheap.

Why does it matter about the number of doors or what transmission it has? Ok so an 8 speed auto isnt the best choice but its better than a 3 speed and as for the doors...it really shouldnt matter.

This new Charger is definitely an improvement in terms of looks and power over the last one. It's just so...damn...big. But I still love the new retro styling on the rear of it and the new wheels are cool too, they're like a combo of the last ones from the R/T, R/T Daytona and the SRT8. But yeah this one looks even meaner and I definitely love the new 6.4L engine in the SRT8s. As cool as it is I'd definitely take the 2012 Camaro ZL1 over this any day.

Ok haters I hear you, it looks like a japanese muscle car if they were to make one. The front looks like the EvoX bigger brother who went to america and took on body building, the back is still a skinny jap ass. But to be honest the car looks fantastic
