since when does art or writing songs have to be so literal..in fact the worst art is literal...its more about being a winner and a slacker at the same time.(which he is)and about sleeping on couches in order to "make it"(which he is) and about running in circles with dreams that never have commercial success.

i think a I love jeffrey song would be cheesey..the song is more about apathy and success than it is about jeffrey.

This is a nice song but it does not describe the creative wunderkind that is Jeffrey Lewis, the busiest artist I know. In his 32 years he has already given the world so much by way of music and art, and is always in demand as a performer and drawer of comics. I think the hapless depressive in this song is its composer. I like the last line "How do you feel without a heaven or a hell?" Pretty damn good, I'll bet.
