  • me gusta avatar en yoututbe ,especialmente sam worthington ,

  • usually, I would find it hard to sit through a movie that' 2 and a half hours long, but with this movie, i was sad when it was over because it felt so short!

  • the music is good but the movie SUCKS!!

  • TITANIC AND GLADIATOR ARE THE BEST MOVIES.

  • @ERZERUM1 and Avatar xD

  • juju beas sounds nice

  • 7.15 he says something that isn't in the movie :S

  • it takes a really creative person to come up with a movie like this... + a tree hugger. :3

  • Those blue fuckers should've all died! Humanity ftw.

  • a little TO similar to Pocahontes.....

  • @34RiverStone

WRONG Cameron had the idea since 1988 when he wrote his plot and story with ideas on a piece of paper then in 1993 he wrote an 80 page screenplay and Pocahontas was released in 1995, do your research man like i do. He didn't film it rightaway because he did wanted to film it after Titanic for a 1999 release he put the script in a drawer and decided to wait for the technology to do justice to his vision then in 2005 he greenlighted the film after Lord of Rings convinced him.

  • @Johnlindsey289 well he admitted that he got inspired by Pocahontes

but i didn't know all that so thanks for the interesting information!

  • @Johnlindsey289 The story of Pocahontas was known way before Disney released a movie about it.

  • I keep hearing a T-rex but I never see one! Where is the giant bastard hiding?! XD

  • jake is british???????????

  • @xAdaMx117 No, the actor (Sam Worthington) is Australian.

  • @TheVoyagerFan but he was born in the uk and moved to aussieland

  • this smovie is like the movie of a true future :D

  • this movie is amazing!seen it so many times!

  • Zoë is hot

  • the movie has its similarity of fern gully 1 and two the story of greed overpowered by love

  • it has used about the most technology ever!! but wonder how everyone is going to think of this movie in 40 to 50 years from now!! lol

  • THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE IN THE WORLD

  • plz download AVATAR,APOLLO,...........

    And other adventure movies.....

  • BEST MOVIES OF THE CENTURY!

  • i choked on my food when he said 'are you out of your jarhead mind!'

  • its so cool how Stephen Lang says "you crossed the line.."

  • please remove any tags that belong to my doctor who video it does not belong there!

  • I honestly don't see what people see so AMAZING in this movie...it's not original...na'vi are NOT original (more like furry fandom stuff I stumble into now and then aka cat people) and the story itself is a retold of stories that already were made. it wasn't THEMED as the others. It was the same.

I liked the movie when I saw it, but the fandom and all the recognition it does not deserve ruined it for me.

  • @kasia97 That's the nature of art. Artists write/paint/compose the world around them. And just like there will always be poems about love, there will be stories about war and invasion and whatever else happens in the world. The point is not whether this story has been told before, it's HOW it's being told now. I think the reason this film gets so many accolades is because James Cameron is retelling a very old story in a very new way. Personally, I can appreciate and respect that.

  • @LibertineDeSade yea but besides changing the looks of the 'story' he just retold it word by word pretty much. And yet people think it's uber original...i just don't get it. Everyone now blames the artists of copying from avatar if their character is a dragon, a fantasy creature of any sort or its skin is any shade of blue.

  • @LibertineDeSade he's not retelling in a new way...he's retelling it word by word just with different setting

  • lol great movie

  • first time i see this movie but looks good

  • Fantastic movie! saw it 12 times in theaters in 3D and 3 times in 2D then 1 time in it's limited theatrical special edition re-release. Now some people have compared it to Dances with Wolves, Pocahontas, Star Wars, Matrix and Ferngully, folks the only true movies it compares to is Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Heavy Metal since Cameron is a fan of those 3 animated movies. It's also like Dune the books if you think about it since it's the same thing.

  • a lot like pocahontas...

  • @NikkiNak111

Yeah, John Smith wias a paraplegic. lol.

  • @LukeLovesRose no but he does get hurt... and also he travels to a foreign land to be a spy on a nativ tribe while and evil general digs for gold...

  • @LukeLovesRose AVATAR IS LIKE POCOHANTAS IN TERMS OF ITS PLOT!!!

You clearly don't know the difference between the basic plot and the details.

John Smith OBVIOUSLY wasn't a paraplegic......how moronic could you be?!......

Now if I took the SAME EXACT plot of Titanic and named the two characters Allen and Jesse and put them on a plate instead of ship....would that make my film original?!......oh wait......

Get my point?! You probably don't....and maybe you never will.......

  • @KayWildcat

Actually Avatar is like the Dune books (Not the 1984 Lynch disaster of an adaptation movie) and Hayao Miyazaki's two animated masterpieces known as Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds. Have you even read Dune or even seen Princess Mononoke or Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds?

  • @LukeLovesRose

Actually this movie is similar to Dune since it's the same basic thing of having an outcast on an exotic planet, joining an alien tribe and fighting for a precious substance. It's also like the Princess Mononoke, one of Cameron's fave animated movies and has the same story of a man who falls for a wildgirl then joins up to fight greedy people in an exotic and magical world thing. If you haven't seen Mononoke, rent it you won't be disappointed.

  • leaked new avatar theme music

search you tube for bobbykayuk to hear the new avatar theme music

  • Its freaking Pocahantas on another planet!!!!!!!

  • @lisssmike its true1 so many say it as well

  • @lisssmike

Was John Smith a paraplegic? Gosh. I'm gonna have to check the history books.

  • I got addicted to avatar too!!! I couldn't stop watching it. Me and my friend would in my backyard and try to climb trees and be like avatars, or the navi! Avatar is awesome!!!!!

  • i got addicted to this movie when i first saw it!! i must have watched it 15 times in a day and i was acting out the scenes while watchin it!!!!

  • สนุกค่ะ

  • ..fein.

  • was this movie also a book?

  • I LOVE Neytiri and I loved Zoe's performance. She was my choice for the best actress of 2009.

  • This was a good movie, but it could have been way better. Cameron's writing skills have really dulled down. His script for this was terrible. I don't want to offend any Avatar fans, but this isn't the best film. All this does is entertain visually. Besides the visuals, this movie offers nothing special.

  • @KayWildcat And yet its still the highest earning movie of all time

  • @Baronstone Yes and Transformers 2 made over 800 million dollars and that movie was garbage.....what is your point?

I hate it when people say that if a movie makes a lot of money, it is automatically good.....that's not always true.

In this case, it isn't true....

  • @KayWildcat

I can't believe you're still at this, Kay. If you don't like something, naturally a person will forget all about it and try to ignore it. But, you, you're like stewing in this pot of hatred for this movie.

Anyway, it's not because Avatar made 2,8 billion dollars. It's the fact that Avatar was so good, it drew audiences, again and again. And, we're not Transformers 2 numbers, once again. We're talking billions.

Anyway, you don't know what makes Avatar great and you'll never know.

  • @LukeLovesRose Wow! YOU'RE STILL HERE!

When someone replies to me, then I reply back......that doesn't mean I continue to this like you.

You have NO IDEA how the financial aspects of films work. Avatar made money because of 2 things: Cameron and 3D.

People liked the visuals, but it had nothing more. Saying that it wasn't bad got everyone in the theatre. Without 3D, Avatar & Transformers won't be too far apart...

Anyway, you don't know what makes a film great & you'll never know.

  • @LukeLovesRose

That's right, don't listen to Kay she's just jealous if you ask me. There are plenty of Avatar forums on the net where it gets more love and respect as i'm a member of those forums, all avatar fans should join.

  • <3 Jake Sully

  • nice i'm wach again sure!

  • Nicely done on the good quality

  • Argh.....,:)

  • Norm is missing

  • @Gq1rf7 And so is Trudy Chacon. And so are Lyle Wainfleet, and Eytukan, and Mo'at, and Tsu'tey, and Sean Fike... They don't get the screen time of the major characters. However, good point. I know at least Trudy has one of these featurettes.

  • This is Pocahontas, blue man style :) it rocks.

  • @Bretchops yeah omg the avatar that replaces neytiris father as chief looks EXACTLY like kokoum (or whatever) from pocohontas

  • @WhatLocoCoco Ba ha ha ha I know! CRAZY!

  • i love this movie lol x

  • I love avatar <3 :)

  • the best movie ever.

  • @jonok911 I didn't say it sucked :S this is my favorite movie i was just saying that the plot in the movie is almost the same as in Pokahontas i think it's written like that..

  • @Cubekiller04 Don't forget dances with wolves and fern gully. I think they may have kept the story line simple so it didn't detract from the amazing cinematography.

  • @Cubekiller04 it's similar to...

    Ferngully

    Atlantis

    Pocahontes

  • @34RiverStone

What about Princess Mononoke, Last of the Mohicans, heavy Metal, Dune, Star Wars Trilogy, Star Trek 6 The Undiscovered country, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Castle in The Sky, Fantastic Planet, Pom Poko, Willow etc.? seen those movies? Cameron borrowed from them.

  • @Johnlindsey289 WOA O.O he got a lot of inspiration then! i never saw any of those movies (except for the last of the mohicans)

  • COOL:)

  • the plot in this movie is just like the plot in pocahontas

  • the real movie

  • not to be rude but, MrDontmakemecomeover yes the americans started stealing oil and natural resources but who's doing it now.

  • dunno why but i laughed at this film lol

  • Same Story as before... White Man's Greed leads to killing of Natives and stealing of the Native peoples' lands for Natural Resources because they dont want to share... hasnt changed... just the characters... Bush+Oil Corporation w/ Military power started all this mess that lead to 911...

  • @MrDontmakemecomeover no because the natives just dont have the power to use it.. africa can be a gigapower in the world, but the people there just lack the intelligence to use their natural resources

  • @pothead783 ... are you another Redneck Bush Retard follower?

  • it will be a new one it will then about what happend before all this.

  • this movie is one of the best movies OF ALL TIME

  • @siroxz2000 Never mind that, it's THE best movie of all time! Look at what others have said about it!

  • @siroxz2000 you should say that at the BMA

  • @siroxz2000 THE best*

  • the movie was incredably well done and had amazing speially effects. though it was an enviormentalists dream (humans being evil and all) the plot was ulike any other movies seen recently

  • I LOVED this movie. I was so amazing, and I just fell in love with the characters. The story is believable and the special effects are just...wow! Whoo, go Avatar!

  • @Mizabella1234 100% agree with that! I watched this movie everyday last week!

  • This movie was not all that.

  • i thought this was the movie from the show on nickelodeon avatar the last air bender

  • This movie is so great, i love it:D

  • sam worthington its so cute

  • This movie blows my mind away... It's on a level on its own at the moment... It may take a decade for another movie to even come close to this one.

  • @astgraphicnovel Then obviously you haven't watched Terminator 2.

  • @silasya77 You can't seriously compare terminator 2 to this? Terminator 2 isn't even better then transformers 1 let alone this movie

  • @astgraphicnovel Pfft, which Terminator 2: Judgement Day you lookin' at, boy? And I liked Transformers. :( Not loved it. Liked it. And Rotf was crap.

  • @silasya77 Ohhh, i see. You're a film fanatic maniac. I can tell if i disagree with you, our humble conversation is going to turn into a graphic novel and there's no guarantee that it will be PG. So i tell you want my friend, you have your opinion and i have mine. If i have offended you, then i'm sorry. I bid you good day or good night or whatever time of day it is where you live... P.s avatar rules yayyyyy. Ok i'm done.

  • @astgraphicnovel

I never thought anyone would or could rate that Michael Bay crap, Transformers over any film by James freakin' Cameron, especially Terminator 2.

  • @LukeLovesRose ohhhhh dude, i've ended this 2 weeks ago now... I now see you've came from skynet to start this back up again. Transformers 1 i like alot, but i prefer avatar.. that's it i'm not saying anymore.

  • @astgraphicnovel

Huh? I just popped in to say hello. I just wanted to comment on your comment. Sue me for having something to say. Jesus.

  • @LukeLovesRose loooooooool.... i'm sorry if i had offended you. maybe i should of used my wording a bit better, but thank you for saying hello.

  • @silasya77 Then Youuuuuu oblviously haven't watched avatar then.

  • @astgraphicnovel Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but I have. Twice. James Cameron has produced classics throughout his young career, but in this year and age of technology and CG1, he can best everything, but the classics.

  • i love this movie

  • this movie is really good i liked it a lot. When i saw it i wanted to be in that world.

I only saw it once b/c of fear of thinking about it non stop

  • i like this movie, but its so long i feel asleep watchin it lol

  • @priscilarodrigez

    get a bigger attention span

  • wher the guy says " lets pull the trigger" it not in the film!!!?

  • @TheSvartdemon it is

  • The most hard-hitting and most realistic movie in 3D of this decade. To whom these people who lives in symbiosis with its environment he reminds?

  • it was a good movie but he abandend all of humanity at the end not talkin bout him fighting for em but at the very end

  • damnn little white kids.

  • tangena

  • @haYanMOVIElover

When i put that order, i didn't mean i didn't love the omaticaya clan, i meant the WAY they acted, not their role in the movie :/

  • oscars dnt mean much wen yuv got the best selin movie of all time

  • avatar is tight

  • ugh not at all

  • Avatar was an OK movie...the graphics were terrific but the story was lacking,I mean it's totally liberal.the story is nothing new...the military is bad, the natives are good and there's always one good guy in the military who fights against there own..I mean come on...he could make it s much more original. But if you can get past the liberal plot,it's a great movie..

    That's alli got to say

    M out

  • This is just my opinion, plz don't make bad comments about it, but here is my order of favorite characters.

    1. Stephen Lang (Quaritch)

    2. Sigourney Weaver (Grace Augustine)

    3. Zoe Saldana (Neytiri)

    4. Sam Worthington (Jake Sully)

    5. Michelle Rodriguez (Trudy Chacon)

I know thats only a few of the characters but these are my top 5 favorite. If you have a different opinion, post it.

  • @24234avatarluver well im not making a bad comment but i guess you dont like all the umeatakiya clan as much as me but i like the people you have chossen too but just in a diffrent order

  • i'm in love with the avatar movie xD

    It's great!

  • ok, first of all, u need to stop with the attitude, second, i dont need u to tell me anything or watever u know about avatar..

  • lol did u know that they hav been making the movie scence 1995..thats 14 years in the making!!!

  • he wrote the story before 14 years n was shooting the movie for 5 years google it if u don't know

  • actually, he wrote the script 16 years ago but had wait for the right technology to be able to portray that script in the best way. filming started 4/5 years ( that includes actor training)

  • no James Cameron wanted to shoot the movie but he asked some1 if he can do the movie the person said he was crazy so now he made it like 4-5 years

  • no it took him 15 years to make!

  • no it took 14 yrs...the peson who made titanic

  • u mean James Camron? he made Titanic and Avatar

  • yea him...

  • @aideenly Sorry bro,but esfandior is correct.Doesnt take anyone 15yrs to make any movie. He had to wait for technology to catch up in CGI.Get ur facts straight.

  • epic from the epic kingdom in epicland!

  • were can u watch this movie on youtube cuz i lov this movie and i want 2 see it a few more times like 777

  • Am i the only one that thinks he is even hotter as an avatar??

  • as a Na'vi my bad

  • You were right the first time, the navi are the locals, the avatars are the artificially grown ones. The navi have 4 fingers and no eyebrows unlike the avatars

  • me 2

  • no x3

  • @MyKira16 Haha you know that's what I was thinking before but I'm pretty sure some people would think thats weird if I said it out loud... so you're not alone on that one.

  • @MyKira16 i thought i was the only one.. lol

  • @MyKira16 no, he's reall yhot as a Na'vi =D

  • @MyKira16 I agree his looks are better... as uncomfortable that was for me to say.

But Neytiri sure as hell is a hot one ;)

  • it really is true money is behing the root of all evill we fuked as a human race i think humans were meant to live a similir life to the navi's who's with me on that

  • im with u

  • meeee

  • @az09983 the human race would be much better off without money and 1/10 the population.

  • @Andrew19ao i know its so true but it is a shame we cant do anything about it

  • @az09983 ---- aka the natives who inhabited much of Canada and the usa before being forcefully relocated. "we give them schools, we teach them english but after how long- relations with the indigenous are only getting worse." well that tends to happen when greedy white europeans invade land and turn it into a money whoring concrete prison. wont be long before the usa appears as the only "grey" country on a green and blue Earth.

  • @miklepikle10 not following with you there can you say it a different way dosent make too much sense there lol

  • @az09983 just sayin that when european explorers first came to north america, they were greeted by the natives. anyways Avatar is a very modern and much more stylized reenactment of european/first nations contact over 200 years ago gnomesayin? except in Avatar, the humans lose and return to earth. in our history more europeans kept flooding in and the indigenous race that had lived throughout NA were either conformed to european society or put on some shit piece of infertile reserve land
