I am proud because I was working there, before I migrate to Canada, its a great experience working for 10 years. I am so proud of the owner Sheikh Al Makthoum the king ruler of dubai. Burj Al Arab, means the Arabian tower. I missed the place
@zsupersaiyan If you have money enough you can call it whatever you want :) But nobody really assumed that the Arabs - who are familiar with erecting tents and small buildings - have been the creators of it.
minimum 17000 GBP per night, in the lowest class. Just assume the standard of its lowest, the standard of luxury definitely starts where your imagination ends.
i stayed there for 2 weeks it was an outstanding hotel, we even stayed at the Atlantis Palm, but considering i am only 14 i enjoyed the Atlantis Palm more, i liked the dolphins.

double dumbo thats another building which is called "Burj Khalif" or "Burj Al Dubai" that is built in 2009. and inaugurated on Jan 1, 2010. Stupid check your dates for which building built when ! This video even posted in 2007 .
Has anyone heard that from the sea this building looks like a christian cross? Apparently when the arabs found out they went crazy and you NEVER see a photo of this building from the sea....
What are you smoking? This building literally means Arabic Sail. Burj means sail, in arabic. The name has historical significance, as Dubai has traditionally been a Sea trader's town, hence the connotation of SAIL.
Hw staked as much as £2 billion in order to create a high end tourist boom, part of the result of which means people living in Dubai pay no income tax. Who can blame a country for using their own assets to give their people a better quality of life?

There is no such thing as a "seven star hotel." The owners of this hotel simply made that term up.
JET997u 2 years ago
No, it seriously is the world's only seven star hotel.
Google it.
ZOMGAPOTATO 2 years ago 12
No, the hotel owners just made up that rating. The rating doesn't exist in the hotel industry.

Absolutely idiotic. The cheapest room is $2000+ a night. If you want to promote tourism, you appeal to the masses.
People that can afford to spend whatever they feel like can vacation wherever they feel like.
It's a simple concept, but for the idiots of the world, it can be rather curious that it escapes them.
Just a difference of 5% can cause a purchaser to look elsewhere.
But hey, the model created by Vegas, Hawaii, Jamaica, Mexico, etc. doesn't apply to insulated retards.
