What a gem! Love how at 4:00 you can see Eric Comas walking back to the pits, helmet in hand. F1 needs the 'sport' back in 'motorsport!' These days were epic.
I personally like this era of Formula 1 much more than the current one. I just like how these cars look, even though they're much more primitive. There were also alot more teams and they didn't travel to terrible locations like Bahrain.
senna death hapen 14 days before this race, and he won in mocano only 6 times with a controversy second place in 84 when he is going pass a prost and the organization stop the race with less 50% of the laps because senna was a rokkie and run for a weak toleman! Senna forever!!
Derek Bell's comment starting at 8:55... do I understand that right, that there were no pit lane speed limits until after Imola '94? If so, that's astounding. Incidentally, the pit entrance and exit here look more like an obstacle course than a pit lane, what with all the tires on either side.
pit lane speed limits were introduced at Monaco in 94. It was set at 50kph and the drivers were to make sure they stuck to it!!! After what happened in the pitlane at Imola, it was deemed safer to install a speed limit.
Nobody said he died here. Read the description of the video: "exactly 2 weeks after Senna's death at Monaco".
That means: AFTER he passed away, gone to heaven, died, kicked the bucket, whatever..., 2 weeks (that means 14 days) after that happening, all these cars and people WERE RACING IN MONACO AND THIS VIDEO WERE RECORD LIVE!
Great video. Didn't know that Schumi also struggled on that oil at Ste Devote. If only he'd just tagged the barrier. Brundle would've taken his ever elusive win.

@ashacrasha and the mention of Giancarlo Fisichella at 4:50 by the commentators! :)

Notice the huge difference comparing the onboard shots here from those in F1 today!
The problem today is that the cameras has anti-shake function, which make even the harshest ride seem like a smooth walk in the park!
But in these older videos you can “feel” much more of what the driver is going through!
They should bring back cameras like these! And they should be placed lower instead of the top of the cars!
The view from Berger's Ferrari is a good example of how it could be!

1994 was ESPN's first time to show the Monaco GP live, before then it was the only Formula 1 race the U.S. did not see on tv neither live or taped.
