@mentonerodominicano Every female has a whistle register. Most just can't access it, and if they can, they usually can't control what it does. It's an unwieldy thing. It takes complete relaxation of the vocal chords and a very good ear. :]

@Boyonspace Mariah's voice has changed drastically over the years and it's mainly due to her being overworked NOT by the use of this register. It has in some ways deteriotated her other registers BUT her whistle register is stronger than ever. She has said in interviews that she can't no longer hit notes that she used to hit especially during her prime BUT her whistle register is more diverse now than it was before.
