UGH ive got the same peice of sh!t on ebay the title was wifi max compatible with xlink kai and i wanted to use it to get online with my psp. if you do find a solution please tell me. if i find it ill tell you :p btw you need xlink kai in it. their web site helped a little but its not enough...

i get the green singal bar and everything but after a while it cuts out and says (unable to obtian ip address move within range of the access point or check dhcp)

You should put your DS the nearest as possible to your Wi Fi USB.

I have the same one anyway all you need to do is first

1. do you have the software disc?

2. If you do and it is installed you need to plug in your wifi link and then open the wifi utility thing that you get from the disc and you hit more settings and you need to see this

OPEN DISBLE LONG then the very bottom thing needs to say the name of your internet

Maybe your firewall is blocking the signal. You may have to turn it off. I use my Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector to play my DS online. The firewall doesn't even block it.

to connect it,

first after inserting your new wifi-link to your usb port, it will look for a driver. So you have to use the driver in the CD that is included in the box. And install the program in the CD aswell. Start the "WL Utility Program" the WL icon shows in your lower right corner of your windows bar. Double click it set the mode to Access Point, click the "more settings button" add in your SSID name by pressing the change button. Disable the WEP, and set the Authentication to OPEN

well the reason whi its not working is the foolowing

u must understand that there are 3 connections

1 net-pc(lan or whatever)

2 PC-wifi

3 wifi-comsole(ds wii ps3 or whatever u have there)

if u can connect to interent with your computer that means connection 1 is ok

if your console(wii ps3....)identefies wifi link as an access point connection 3 works

and here is what u have to do you have to somehow send the internet from your pc into the wifi link and into your console ...

put it next to the WIFI link. your ds is not facing the WIFI link. hope this helped if it didnt then i dont know what to say but get a new on.

on my psp i got all the software that includes xlink kai and all that every thing looks normal until i get in the online gathering hall on monster hunter portable 2 and then i cant find any one else its so annoying!!!!!!!!

i finally got a connection hears what i did i install the cd then wifi USB i click on the icon for this product my saids EDUP yours might say ZP on lower right corner i switched mode from station to access pt click on more settings my SSID is WLAN_AP authentication reads open system wep is disabled bridge adapter you should have some sort network connection my saids intel(R) pro/100 VE network connection thats how i have wifi connection i hope this helps you and others ps so worth the money

well you didnt install it right first you need to go to advance and man your main connection share with all your connections and then reinstall every thing and make sure your pc and your wifilink ip address is the same

ive got windows XP oh but guess what i tried doing same thing on this vid but did a few things to settings on comp and when i tried test connection it came up with green signal! ...but then 10 secs after during the test it suddenly when red again my MAC adress even came up on comp
