I keep reading the comments about how RB and Spiner don't like Trek fans cause they can be to serious and over the top.... Then why do a Star Trek convention. The fans are beneath them in every way, but to take their money. Class actors.
Which is why I like Kate Mulgrew. Not just because she is a fantastic actress, but because she is a fantastic person.
@spinpup I know Beltran was disappointed with many of the creative choices made on Voyager, but I've never heard of him being anything but classy with his fans. And as for Brent Spiner - well, he appears to have a blast. And if they've had some bad experiences with over-enthusiastic fans in the past, well... we Trekkies CAN be a little crazy! ;)
I think you would have to be blind not to see the sincerity of this woman. I believe she really cares about her fans and does her best to please them.
Also, how lucky are you to have met her under such personal terms? Are you perhaps one of the ladies that went to the art gallery? I watched the video and was absolutely charmed by it.

Brent Spiner isn't crazy about Trek fans either. Many fans are too over exuberant and take Trek too seriously, so I can understand why some of the actors are turned off by some of us. Those types of fans give Trek a bad name.
He felt Cheated with his role. He is a very talented actor and they treated him as if he were no one. He was the commander and how many times did you hear him I captain the whole dang show! I would be angry too!

Oh thank you for sharing these clips - they are fun to watch. Probably just as much fun as these three were having on stage. :-) In this one, I love the way Kate is sitting on the chair. So relaxed. She really is having a great time reminiscing, isn't she?
Check out Beltran's skitz interview. He literally says that he hates Star Trek and anyone who likes Trek is stupid. With more profanity

Robert Beltran hated his job on Star Trek Voyager. He said in an interview that he hated everything Star Trek and he hates the fans too.
