@slayerdearly A manual is definitely preferred, but lots of people autocross with auto trannies. My torque curve is so broad, that I can just put the Gear shift lever into 2nd and leave it there. It makes the 1-2 upshift one time at the start and then holds 2nd gear for the rest of the run. Sure makes 2-foot trail braking easy with an auto. :)
@LeadSSled wow man I didn't know that thx for telling me nmo looks kind of hard(and my hard I mean confusing nmo)hell ide be afraid of going the wrong way or killing cones and looking like a fucking idiot but at the same time autox looks like fun and is something ide like to try :)
@slayerdearly Most autocrossers arrive to the event early enough to walk the course 3-4 times so that you can learn it before you drive. Otherwise, you would certainly get lost on the course. And "cone killing" is just part of the fun. If you don't hit a cone or two on at least one of your runs, then you aren't driving fast enough. You need to find the limit, then back off just a little. :) Give it a try. It is a lot of fun!
@LeadSSled yeah that's what Ive herd but all I have is a fucking 94 cavalier z24 with a 3.1 V6 and a 3 speed auto ill hold off until I get a faster(and nicer)car lol
I've never run the SPT's so I can't give any feedback on those. In this video, I was running the Kumho MX tires - loved them. But they are a summmer compound and get pretty slick when it is near or below freezing. And with a treadwear rating of 220, I only got between about 15,000 miles. But I liked them well enough that I went through 2 sets of these. They stick well in warm weather and do very well in the rain too.
At that time, the exhaust consisted of 1-3/4" 4-into-1 long tube headers, no cats, and 2-1/4" tru dual pipes with Spin-Tech Pro-street mufflers and Flowmaster 1-chamber resonators. The resonators did not really quiet the sound much, but were already in the system when I added the SPin-Techs, so I just left them. I was very pleased with the sound for just a "bolts on" motor with stock heads and cam. I love the Spin-techs and have them on my new 3" system behind the stroker too.
Leadsled NICE RIDE man! I got an impala ss 95 with tri-y's (clear image is awesome) dr. gas x pipe and spin tech mufflers. Every time I'm at a light everyone ask me what exhaust I got. I LOVE SPINTECH, IT HAS A DISTINCT SOUND.
I didn't know you could autoX with an Automatic I aways thought you would need a manual Tranny to do this

pretty agile for a big car! not a bad sound either, but something about it would just sound better if it was flooring it down a empty desert road

That video was a couple of years ago. See my more recent videos for the sound with the new 550 HP stroker motor. :) Thanks for the props!
