Pink grew up in Doylestown,Pa which is the suburbs its not in Philly its actually 50 min away from Philly. I grew up in Doylestown too (regardless of the incorrect geographic) I still LOVE PINK.

The only thing that has changed is her accent.. which is BOUND to happen.. when she started out, she sounded like this but as she got bigger, she wasn't around her "older" crowd or place no more.. and around well spoken industry people, which would've influenced on her speech.. & also her music, she has said in the later years of her life she wasn't pleased with her first album because she didn't have creative control but from her second album she did and from then on she found her inner rocker.

Yeah, i found it ironic when she was like "Its not like somebody came to me and said dye your hair pink and buy some pink tshirts" because I think that's what she said actually happened later on.

You can tell the "accent" is forced because she transitioned in and out of it a couple times.

I dont think she was a failed rnb star. her early years are arguably her most successful in the U.S. up until recently.

@elishot It was her idea to dye her hair pink since the very beginning. That was not the record company's doing at all. The way she dressed, her hair, the way she carried herself, her personality - it was all her, even back then. That's been made clear on every biography-type show on P!nk. P!nk herself has been consistent in saying that even in her more recent interviews. The only thing she didn't have control of was the music she was singing.

@servantdust1 She's grown quite a bit these past 10 years which is to be expected. She took a new direction with her music and even her accent has changed. All in all though, she's still the same person. Her personality hasn't changed much at all. It's easy to see in other footage of her from the early years of her career. She basically has the same morals, and beliefs, and still has that same contagious laugh; she's just gotten a little older and wiser.

Actually, I pick up accents really easily, and after counseling at a camp for inner city kids, I came home sounding just like P!nk did here.
