  • i need some help. I ordered an amp, i plugged it in, got it working. went for a ride and my positive cable came loose and my amp started smelling like burnt plastic. I unplugged car battery and took if off, opened the amp up and checked everything and didnt see any burned parts for broken capacitor or fuse. i then plugged it back in and it worked again and so it made me confused. What can it be that caused that burning smell from my amp? the amp is still running powerful. should i still use it

  • all 3 look blown, the last one looked a bit puffy

  • They are probably 16 volt caps rated like 220 uf for filtering they power supply. Had this happen I replaced it with a nichicon cap.

  • japp caps are the best i dont knwo why they are not a standard in all electronics yet

  • @BassPounderX most people dont use jap products because they cant afford them lol..higher quality has higher prices

  • @666TECHNO666 even so if somethign breaks and u care about it u pay to get it fixed might as well pay to have betetr quality in the first place idk thats my opinion

  • @BassPounderX yea of course...especially if youve got a high quality product you want to replace it with the best parts incase you fork out for shitty china things and they blow instantly

  • @4huntley and get the same if not slightly higher voltage and high temp thanks for the view

  • N e computer repair place just get the exact size so if its say 2200 uf then get that its the micro farad rating

  • i have an amp tht has a bown capacitor do you know were to get capaciors for them??
