I don't think any Snape shippings will make it. ^^; I was listening to an interveiw with her and one of the questions was "Will Snape ever fall in love?" J.K laughed and responded, "No, good god. Who would ever want to fall in love with him?"

But then again it's future 'if Snape is going to fall in love' and Lily is past, so if JKR laughs then she perhaps has the present and future Snape in her mind [and honestly, there is no time or place for 'present' romance in HP7, I think]

I mean, if it were totally ridiculous, why would JKR keep avoiding a direct answer to any question regarding Snape/Lily? Plus, there is alot of book evidence. Whenever Dumbledore tells Harry that Snape felt remorse at what he had told Voldemort about the prophecy, Harry insists that Snape hated his father. Then Dumbledore repeats himself. Dumbledore isn't stupid, he knows Snape hated James. Who else would Snape feel remorse for if it weren't James? The only other death was Lily!

yes, it's his past and the relationships there that is interesting, and it will possibly have some bigger meaning for the plot. there are definitely references that there was some sort of connection between Snape and Lily.
