I'm all for eradicating invasive species like the feral pigs but the huting outfitter that set up this hunt is unethical in some ways. First they facilitate gator hunts. Second, they do some hunts in a ranch. They let people sit in a stand above a feeder and shoot a fenced in animal that comes around to eat. How is that even a hunting experience. I could place some bud light and nascar merch under a tree, sit in the tree with my blackhawk 44 mag and wait for a redneck to come. Not a challenge.

@NymphadoraBeeWolf You aren't the only one, i Always feel disheartened for the animal when it gets killed, but it provides food for my family, i hunt with a recurve bow to give the animal more of a chance, and make it more of a challenge. It makes it funner and you appreciate the animal a lot more!

I honestly don't like the concept of killing animals, but to be honest if it's for a proper purpose 'which in this case is to remove feral animals' then yes kill them. By killing them we are doing the environment and the natural ecosystem a favour, because in my area feral animals are making native species instinct. So to be honest a few dead pigs is better than an instinct population of animals 'we all can't have everything we want!'.

For those of you who have an ethical problem with this, keep in mind that the animals we buy already dead at the supermarket live short horrible lives in confined spaces, pumped full of hormones and killed in a heartless assembly-line way at a slaughterhouse. At least with hunting they have a good chance at surviving, and at least the hunter is working hard for his dinner, sometimes sitting for hours in the freezing cold. hunting is the most compassionate way to get your meat.
Wow that's the cleanest kill I've seen on a hog without a doubt. Even with rifles I've seen hogs about that size take 3 shots and those were fairly normal results. This takes the cake, one clean stick.

I don't think you need to be a cold blooded killer to enjoy hunting. I used to hunt a fair bit, still do now and then, and enjoy it. However I've gotta say not a huge fan of prolonging the death with by using a spear and dogs. If I was living in Medieval times, I would probably love it, but now days, we've the option for a clean, quick kill. That's what I'm more comfortable with.
I think after seeing this when I go hunt like this I am going to wear some Dickies capenter pants, heavy cotton canvas. Do you think a tusk could get threw that? i have hunted many times in my life, i do not enjoy killing nor get a thrill out of it. like our forefathers we hunt for meat for the table. not to brag about or glote ovr. a nicely roasted boar is a great sunday treet and the meat from a young hog is tender. no glory hear but we eat good.

I honestly don't like the concept of killing animals, but to be honest if it's for a proper purpose 'which in this case is to remove feral animals' then yes kill them. By killing them we are doing the environment and the natural ecosystem a favour, because in my area feral animals are making native species instinct. So to be honest a few dead pigs is better than an instinct population of animals 'we all can't have everything we want!'.

For those of you who have an ethical problem with this, keep in mind that the animals we buy already dead at the supermarket live short horrible lives in confined spaces, pumped full of hormones and killed in a heartless assembly-line way at a slaughterhouse. At least with hunting they have a good chance at surviving, and at least the hunter is working hard for his dinner, sometimes sitting for hours in the freezing cold. hunting is the most compassionate way to get your meat.

Wow that's the cleanest kill I've seen on a hog without a doubt. Even with rifles I've seen hogs about that size take 3 shots and those were fairly normal results. This takes the cake, one clean stick.

I don't think you need to be a cold blooded killer to enjoy hunting. I used to hunt a fair bit, still do now and then, and enjoy it. However I've gotta say not a huge fan of prolonging the death with by using a spear and dogs. If I was living in Medieval times, I would probably love it, but now days, we've the option for a clean, quick kill. That's what I'm more comfortable with.

t dogs hang out with humans cause they know it's better for their survival? so you get 2 species that help each other out and share the kill. although, those guys are pretty fat... it's not like the dogs are the aides, they're more like the ones that do the work and the dudes finish it.

When i went with these guys they had a chocolate pitbull, but he is dead now. We only used him just to see him in action once, we killed the rest without a catch dog.

Was the pig ever very nice to another man? It seems like it may have been a very nice pig, swine, as maybe it would occasionally give gifts to nurses or make appropriate phone calls on his best friend's birthday, or maybe the pig let an old woman have his seat on the bus one day, or maybe been very nice to others? If so, the pig was some sort of local hero who gave clothes to local starving children? The pig may have been nice even to one man, or woman, maybe by lighting a candle?
