Because we are musicians here and we want to be as musical as possible, I have a few peices of advice for you.

When playing a keyboard insturment such as xylophone, vibraphone, marimba, ect there are a few things you must consider.

The power of your stoke should come from the wrist. Your forearm shouldn't move at all.

It's tempting to put a finger on the top of the mallet to guide it but you should try to refrain from doing so; it could lead to injury.

I hate it when people say "oh i love your voice, you have such a great voice blah blah" because it's freakin' stupid ! Every time they like a song they think it's because the singer is so talented, well maybe that's a quality factor, but in most cases it's just that the song is well written !
