Icelandic sheep are one of the most ancient breeds. Introduced to Iceland by Erik the Viking around 1,000 AD. They are cold hardy to the extreme. This winter we literally had one night fall to 50 below in January. Those sheep stand right out there chewing cudd like it's perfect weather! Their fiber is unique in that it can be dyed any color no matter what the natural color is. The meat is uniquely delicious and devoid of gamey flavor as well. The gourmet choice among chefs.
whoaaaa their wool is amazing.
