Abbas was Imam Hossiens half brother and Imam Ali's son. He is most well known for risking his life to get water for his extended family and tribe who were deprived of water by orders of yazid (a dictator at that time).

Upon getting the water, yazid soilders hit Abbas with arrows and cut his arms making him unable to hold the water, so he put it in his mouth. He was then hit in the eye, and finally the water it self was hit.

He fell from his horse, when his bros came for him he refused to let his body be bought back as he was to embrassed to face his wife and could not bear the cries of the thirsty children. His last wish was for Hossien to wipe the blood from his face so he could see his face one last time.

Abalfazl-Abbas was the half brother of Imam Hussein who fought at the battle of Karabala againt the evil tyrant Yazid. Hussein asked Abalafazl-Abbas to get some water from the nearby river because his family was thirsty but on his way back Yazids army killed him violently and became a martyr of Karbala alongside Hussein.

no no no. abu bakr (ra) was da rightly appoint khalif. the prophet (saw) even got him to lead namaz when he was absent. if hazrat ali (ra) was meant to be the khalifa then the prophet (saw) would of said it in his farewell hajj not wait till afterwards where 2/3 of the sahaba had gone back to their homes. also if hazrat (ra) was chosen why did he give bayah to the 1st 3 and not ONCE stand up against them. sunnis consider ali (ra) as a warrior but you lot describe him as a coward who did nothing

I would like to say just onething about the introduction in the begining abou the words Half Brother of Imam Hussain. While His moments in the Imam's Lap Imam calls him brother and Syeda Khatoon-e-Junnat calls Moula Abbas SON so we must not call Him Half Brother of Imam and should be written correctly(my beleive). cause hussain and hassan were from fatima(as).they are the ahl al bayt, the imams, thats why.and just because that person is called omar or abu bakr, doesnt mean ali isnt going to use those names(this names were often given in that time).the name omar doesnt represent the khalief omar.our imam ali(as) wasnt a hatefull man so didnt do such things as disliking a name that was also given to a certain person wich you call rashid
