i listened to the judges comments, i thought bruno and len said nice things, and carrie ann is allowed to critique on the lifts. because the lifts sucked. the lifts looked cool but hope sucked at them. so i dont get why your all complaining about the judges. and 24 is a generous score. dont tell me you were expecting 10's from hope's dances? hope is a sloppy dancer. some people are.
@kayla101010100 No, the judges always choose the more popular people. She really is not a good dancer, trust me, I would know. I have been a dancer (hip-hop, tap, ballet, etc.) and a gymnast for over 10 years. I didn't mean to offend you, but, she is NOT good. That's my opinion.
@mangachick8 i agree. hope is a godawful dancer. i think she made it to the semi finals because of her fanbase and all the maks/hope shippers. it seems like the fans who say that the judges are biased against her are being biased against the judges xD she got low scores because she sucks at dancing. if she had a dancers bone in her body the judges would like her performances and she wouldnt be so upset. i like her but she and her fans need to calm their tits.

By the way, Hope's kicks were not good. jr's were. Ricki did not do any quick kicks but did everything else so very well in their dance. My bet is the pros of those 2 dancers watched their "star" dance and choregraphed the routine accordingly. Bravo to Karina and Derek.

Carrie Ann’s comments were unnecessary and personal. The judges forget that these are not professional dancers and they do not have that dancers build. I would love to see her out there since she know everything about the dance from the damn chair… Oh and judged by previous dancers or MAX.
she is just awful in this. how can anyone watch without seeing how painfully awkward she is...what a terribe choregrapher max is..she was being pulled around, feet and arms flailing about..just awful. the worst.
@TheMaggiemolly Hope didn't move correctly b/c she's not a good dancer, That doesn't mean Maks' a terrible choreographer...The choreography was Great with lots of contents...I believe Hope could've become better at dancing if she takes classes to learn and grow, to get to a point where she was very good...Hope wasn't made for dancing, she's been a Soccer Player for many years & it's just hard to bring her out of that zone. I'm just saying, Why blame Maks?
@Davette7ify1 Max is a professional. He put together a routine way to difficult for her to accomplish well. This was not fair to her. He is supposed to make her look good. She commented after the dance "noone could have done what we just did." maybe so, but she did not do it well so what is the point of looking bad. She could have danced better if he did not put together such difficult routines. Just saying

Yes, I agree. The Judges have been quite ugly to Hope and Maks and really, folks, this is NOT a Professional Competition!!! Come on!!!! These are NOT professional dancers! The show is about the entertainment and learning something new. Who cares if the "Flicks and Kicks" aren't perfect! SHEESH!!! I think Hope did a GREAT job and for the most part, the Judges are way too harsh or trying so hard to be funny, they end up looking just plain hateful! Good for you, HOPE!!! Preach it Sistah!
Just loved the start of their dance when she was on the desk and Bruno went “WOW!“ Now if you saw the way Maks picked her up, turned her upside down, picked her up & turned her upright, that was sensational. Get the extinguisher here, they were on FIRE!!! Carrie-Ann with “the smile bit” was not necessary. Bravo to Hope when she said “I think from day 1 they wanted me off the show but I’m here in the final 4 & I’m hoping to get into the finales!” And that she did get into the semi-finales!
Carrie Ann is such a witch, unprofessional... just hateful. The scores that Hope was given were not fair. No wonder that Hope finally got sick of them!!!

CARRIE ANN Tried to pick a fight with Max again,YES SHE WAS and Maks didn't fall into here trap, however I feel that Max pushed buttons and may not be back next season. I hope that isn't the case. He knows his stuff
@GhostOfAStranger1 it's Abby, not Amy. We can't know for sure, but maybe that's just her body type, since she's looked pretty much the same all throughout her career, and she started very young (if she was taking hormones back then, she'd already have a beard by now) Also, I think she looks sexy on the field. Here, not so much. She doesn't look like herself! I remember during the WWC in July she did not look like that. Maybe it's the hairstyle and the makeup.
Chaz, Nancy and Hope were the worst dancers this season, and they should have been eliminated in the beginning, in that order. The judges did not "have it out for her", she was T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E! She literally made me cringe when I watched her. For some unknown reason she never understood this and her poor sportsmanship over it made it 10 times worse. She had a bad attitude for weeks and her and Maks just fed off each other. Telling the judges to F*** off was just classless.
Why are people so bent on criticizing Hope? That was a good solid Argentine Tango! I know that everyone doesn't love her personality (not sure why) and I know some people think Maks is arrogant (I don't think so but I can see that he might come off that way). But this was a good dance, no matter who was doing it.
They were rough on Hope from the beginning. You all must have to admit. Kudos to her for keeping her composure for this long. Maks kinda flipped awhile back and suffered repercussions. Carrie Ann and Len are vindictive towards Maks. I think it's a jealousy thing. Carrie wants him and can't have him and Len wishes he could be him, just that simple. Bruno is the only level headed cool judge on the panel.
@HideyoKIDZ23 NO, Carrie Ann was trying to pick a fight with Maks but Maks didn't take the bait also Maks is not a douche. Also i applaued MAKS for working with Hope this season as clearly in must have taken a lot out of to get rid of some of Hope shyness and sometimes her lack of dance abilty.
@kayla101010100 feel free to like or dislike any type of comment but let me clear what i said about hope's Dancing ability mostly it was her shyness that took away from her dancing she couldn't get into charcter sometimes. sometimes her big shoulders and posture and didn't help and in the case Broadway Week it didn't seem like she was dancing but just moving her feet. Still liked hope and glad she made to the semi-finals however I wish she and Maks had show more class and made their interviews.
Really people stop all the fighting, I'm a Hope Solo fan and not because DWTS. I bet when next season starts you guys are not gonna remember that she was on the show. The reason she made it son far is because of her fan-base, fans who vote for her every week. Why do the judges keep treating Ricki like she's some sort of queen? She's okay, but not so great that she deserves all these 10's that they keep giving her. I just don't get the Ricki hoopla.
Carrie needs to learn that when u r judging you cant pick favorites. hope deserved alot better than 49 out of 70 i mean seriously, even the producers of the show say they pick favorites, i hope carrie ann sees this and feels bad because she should. STOP PICKING FAVORITES!
One thing is for sure,Hope's strength was really featured in this dance...and for that matter Mak's too,(around 5:05) I think Hope really thought she did well,and in many ways she really did,in my opinion. She had the strength to execute the lifts,but the polish wasn't there.I think some of those lifts could have been improved simply by pointing her toes. It must be frustrating for her,she should just shoot for her personal best,maybe she has reached it.
I think the judges have been so damn hard on Hope all season and she's just sick of it, so she's smiling and having a good time and showing that their rudeness and unfairness towards her doesn't affect her one bit . And I applaud her for that.
Okay I love Hope to death and I know she isn't the best dancer, but I hope she makes the finals! She shouldn't have gotten that 4 in the instant cha cha! And Carrie Ann i dislike you:/
the look on the two male judges' eyes when Hope started moving her legs lying on the table... I can't even begin to imagine what they must have thought... the one in the right seemed to have his eyes fixed on her thighs... it looked like his eyeballs were going to pop out of their orbits.
Maks has that stupid smirk whenever CA gives a critique even when she was trying to tell them what they need to work on He did it less to the male judges when they gave him a bad critique. Need Proof? just look for older episodes. I believe Carrie-Ann because his smirking to her comments are caught on camera many times. Look at 4:35, now Ricki didn't do that. That was very hard to do. And, for Hope to hold Maks during 4:40. Wow, they still get a 24. That is just not right.
They did a better argentine tango dance than the others. This was a risky dance routine, but Hope can strive a challenge. They deserve more than a 24, she is dancing better and faster. I don't know what's wrong with Carrie Ann, Maks didn't do anything wrong. In my opinion, Maks and Hope have been the underdogs from the start. Their scores from other dances should have been higher.
I was not a fan of Mak's choreography, and the opening was atrocious! The camera angle was not flattering toHope at all. I didn't feelthe heat either. I blame Maks
It was inappropriate and unprofessional of Carrie to remake the remark about Maks smiling. Smiling is not against the rules. She should critique the dance and stop pretending that she owns the pro dancers. They change the pro dancers and it's time to change at least one judge.
THAT was an interesting AT. I think Maksim sees a potential in her that hasn't come out yet (or maybe he expects more from her because she is an athlete) because it seemed to me that the choreography was a little beyond her. I think they are both very determined, but I don't believe she'll make the cut for the final.
@meh05g You could tell he wasn't smiling because he was happy, he was smiling because he didn't like what she was saying and people do that. Like a sarcastic smile. Yes the judges can be "rude" at times which I mainly think it's Bruno that says rude comments like calling people names. I don't love Carrie Ann but I don't she is that bad. Maks is more rude than anyone on the show but is that okay? He gets all whiny and mad anytime someone doesn't say something positive. It's ridiculous.

It may be that Hope is not the best of the few that are left or it may be that the judges have been a bit too harsh with there words . I for one think Hope Solo works hard and is always trying to improve. I agree that the costumes are not so wonderful but her dancing is pretty darn GOOD and it would be nice to acknowledge along with the critiques. All I am saying is the vibe that comes across ain't particularly cool. The judges do appear to dislike Maks.
And she was right, those lifts, although numerous, were not as good as they could have been. Hope's legs were flaring out all over the place and they weren't smooth at all. I also think that the costume designers are also not dressing Hope the best way possible. She just looks awkward in some of her costumes. Like those tights, she should not be wearing those tights.
@lizabth247 true about the lifts but those costumes are Maks' doing lol! All season ppl have been saying he should stick to designing only the dresses but now I'm not so sure he should do that either lol! He was better with the wardrobe other season with maybe 2 or 3 weird outfits, tops. This season however has been funny.

I utterly agree with the majority, they should have scored them higher....although perhaps maxs should keep the moves more simple so they can excel at those. I think she did much better than rob also, but I like him a lot (just not his dancing).
there is a vendetta by the judges against hope and maks and it is unfair. they deserve much better scores. if you don't want them in the finals then score them reasonably low but not 7's and 8's when they deserve 9's. Rob getting 10's because he has grown makes no sense. and giving him extra points because he shakes his ass is pathetic and unfair.

@TheMaggiemolly Hope didn't move correctly b/c she's not a good dancer, That doesn't mean Maks' a terrible choreographer...The choreography was Great with lots of contents...I believe Hope could've become better at dancing if she takes classes to learn and grow, to get to a point where she was very good...Hope wasn't made for dancing, she's been a Soccer Player for many years & it's just hard to bring her out of that zone. I'm just saying, Why blame Maks?

She commented after the dance "noone could have done what we just did." maybe so, but she did not do it well so what is the point of looking bad. Yes, I agree. The Judges have been quite ugly to Hope and Maks and really, folks, this is NOT a Professional Competition!!! Come on!!!! These are NOT professional dancers! The show is about the entertainment and learning something new. Who cares if the "Flicks and Kicks" aren't perfect! SHEESH!!! I think Hope did a GREAT job and for the most part, the Judges are way too harsh or trying so hard to be funny, they end up looking just plain hateful! Good for you, HOPE!!! Preach it Sistah!

Just loved the start of their dance when she was on the desk and Bruno went “WOW!“ Now if you saw the way Maks picked her up, turned her upside down, picked her up & turned her upright, that was sensational. Get the extinguisher here, they were on FIRE!!! Carrie-Ann with “the smile bit” was not necessary. Bravo to Hope when she said “I think from day 1 they wanted me off the show but I’m here in the final 4 & I’m hoping to get into the finales!” And that she did get into the semi-finales!

We can't know for sure, but maybe that's just her body type, since she's looked pretty much the same all throughout her career, and she started very young (if she was taking hormones back then, she'd already have a beard by now) Also, I think she looks sexy on the field. Here, not so much. She doesn't look like herself! I remember during the WWC in July she did not look like that. Maybe it's the hairstyle and the makeup.

Chaz, Nancy and Hope were the worst dancers this season, and they should have been eliminated in the beginning, in that order. The judges did not "have it out for her", she was T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E! She literally made me cringe when I watched her. For some unknown reason she never understood this and her poor sportsmanship over it made it 10 times worse. She had a bad attitude for weeks and her and Maks just fed off each other. Telling the judges to F*** off was just classless.

I know that everyone doesn't love her personality (not sure why) and I know some people think Maks is arrogant (I don't think so but I can see that he might come off that way). They were rough on Hope from the beginning. You all must have to admit. Kudos to her for keeping her composure for this long. Maks kinda flipped awhile back and suffered repercussions. Carrie Ann and Len are vindictive towards Maks. I think it's a jealousy thing. Carrie wants him and can't have him and Len wishes he could be him, just that simple. Bruno is the only level headed cool judge on the panel.

@kayla101010100 feel free to like or dislike any type of comment but let me clear what i said about hope's Dancing ability mostly it was her shyness that took away from her dancing she couldn't get into charcter sometimes. sometimes her big shoulders and posture and didn't help and in the case Broadway Week it didn't seem like she was dancing but just moving her feet. Still liked hope and glad she made to the semi-finals however I wish she and Maks had show more class and made their interviews.

One thing is for sure,Hope's strength was really featured in this dance...and for that matter Mak's too,(around 5:05) I think Hope really thought she did well,and in many ways she really did,in my opinion. She had the strength to execute the lifts,but the polish wasn't there.I think some of those lifts could have been improved simply by pointing her toes. It must be frustrating for her,she should just shoot for her personal best,maybe she has reached it.

They did a better argentine tango dance than the others. This was a risky dance routine, but Hope can strive a challenge. They deserve more than a 24, she is dancing better and faster. I don't know what's wrong with Carrie Ann, Maks didn't do anything wrong. In my opinion, Maks and Hope have been the underdogs from the start. Their scores from other dances should have been higher.

I think Maksim sees a potential in her that hasn't come out yet (or maybe he expects more from her because she is an athlete) because it seemed to me that the choreography was a little beyond her. I think they are both very determined, but I don't believe she'll make the cut for the final.

It may be that Hope is not the best of the few that are left or it may be that the judges have been a bit too harsh with there words . I for one think Hope Solo works hard and is always trying to improve. I agree that the costumes are not so wonderful but her dancing is pretty darn GOOD and it would be nice to acknowledge along with the critiques. And she was right, those lifts, although numerous, were not as good as they could have been. Hope's legs were flaring out all over the place and they weren't smooth at all. I also think that the costume designers are also not dressing Hope the best way possible. She just looks awkward in some of her costumes. Like those tights, she should not be wearing those tights.

@babybott330 LOL, Not a coincidence at all. The judges wanted them gone and they got their wish! People are trying to say they cursed the judges but they did not. Maks and Hope was talking to each other. I heard her say she didn't want to look at them and it probably was because she knew someone was going to say something negative. Like always.

I utterly agree with the majority, they should have scored them higher....although perhaps maxs should keep the moves more simple so they can excel at those. I think she did much better than rob also, but I like him a lot (just not his dancing).

there is a vendetta by the judges against hope and maks and it is unfair. they deserve much better scores. if you don't want them in the finals then score them reasonably low but not 7's and 8's when they deserve 9's. Rob getting 10's because he has grown makes no sense. and giving him extra points because he shakes his ass is pathetic and unfair.
carrie ann needs to be replaced due to being bipolar with feedback, bias with favorites, and simply for being bitchy. she is extremely annoying

@rndrps... AMEN! Completely agree with you! That was Hope's best dance, in my opinion she deserves a better score. The judges need to stop being biased and picking on them for no reason. Maxs smile? What was that about, CarryAnn?
