greek pontians,-refuges from the Black Sea after the population exchange 1922-dance Tams(z)ara too!Love to Armenians and Assyrians from greek Pontians! We never forget that we had lived together for many centuries in Asia Minor,Anatolia and Pontus(nowday Karadeniz).
Mon père et grand parents était aussi de cette région, d'un villayette appelé Soussouri, je pense qu'aujourd'hui disparu ou nomée d'un autre nom. J'habite au Brésil. Très heureuse de voir la danse.
then you're not turkish your blood line must be from armenian or assyrian maybe greek,, go ask your grand parents they mgiht open up teh truh to you...
pure armenian song.only assyrians can have a say on this song because was made for them by the armenians.you can google the name ara and read the story.
lol silly ara has no relation to tanzara, tammuz is an assyrian month and ara means land...this song has assyrian roots the guy even said that its anonymous to armenians and it was given to them by the assyrian influence..i love tanzara :D
Dakhit Brother assyrian2NV, you might have had to much raki to drink :). Listen closely to what Mr. Anooshian states at the beginning. He states "synonymous" to Armenian dance, not "anonymous". There is an Assyrian website that tells the Tamzara story, the Armenian variation and Assyrian variation. It states the story is about Ara the beautiful (Armenian King) and Queen Shamiram,
@antranig Lol its got nothing to do with Ara, the dance was made in Tammuz the month. Never the less its a great dance God bless both Assyrians and Armenians.

really good, just like turkiye's east anotolian region. btw i listened tomzara's another version from the album Anush & Inga Arshakyanner - Tamzara..it's really good album.
Thank you for posting this video. Our creative Armenians have never stopped their beautiful songs and dances, wherever they've been in this world. It is nice to see these on you tube.
There is actually a village called Tamzara in Turkey still, it's on the road to Giresun from Sabin Karahisar. I've been there and the people are very nice.
we play same dance in Kurdistan with dawol and zurna but your style is much better. long live Hayistan .. kurdistan=hayistan
