just a tip everybody, instead of getting all of your wood with your hand (takes a long time) get 3 wood, harvest it and make an axe, so you can get it faster

I'm building this really (insert rude word here) big wall to surround my 2 story house ( complete with library, portal and massive fireplace) , 4x4 mine shaft with 8 levels for branch mining ( if you don't know what that is I suggest you check it out, just do a search, I'd recommend Surelog ) and my obsidian farm...

the first amazing thing i made was a hut with a hole in the ground that leads to a mine that goes down to 13 y axis which is the best place to find diamond. i expanded until if i stood against one wall i couldnt even see the other wall on far rendering. i had to take a butt load of chests down there to put stone in so that i dont just get rid of it but its not clogging my house

what do you need all that space for? when I play as nomad, my hideout is usually about 3x3, which is enough space for a workbench, furnace and sometimes a bed.

Also, you can get coal (or charcoal as its called) by burning wood in a furnace.
