  • Thank you for this great video

  • Amazing...

  • I love this song, especially sung by these beautiful children!

Btw-did you notice @ 0:50, the boy reminds his neighbor to keep his hands to his side? so cute

  • VERY VERY VERY NICE!!!

    ps: 0:50 funny hauhauhaua

  • I also remember primary. I am turning 16 soon and i play the organ for our LDS ward. I am so thankful for the gospel and the joy it brings to my life. Listen to the prophet, obey the commandments and hold to the iron rod! Doing those things well help us to resist temptation and to live happy, clean lives.

  • LDS rockz

  • I remember primary and now I am 17 in young women's were dose the time go

  • it makes me sad, all the Mean mormon comercails. If they just maybe listened to or word, they would know we are the True church, because we are!

  • so beautiful. Being a decon now, brings back so many memories

  • Awww. I remember primary. Wow I can't believe Young Womens is almost over for me. *sigh* Where does time go? Children have to sweetest voices and the brightest outlooks on life. Why can't we all have the perspective on life like little children?

  • I like it. it's a lot better than the exMormon trash I just read

  • Awesome!

  • children in the children's choir are just as "white and delightsome" as the adult Mormon Tabernacle Choir is. Where are the African Americans?

  • @ukiegrammy

Well considering about 60% of the Utah population is LDS, and of the Utah population 1% makes up the blacks, so how much black Mormons do you expect in Salt Lake?

There are black members of the church and they have come to terms with the lord to accept that it isn't about race, and we have come out of the ignorance of the deceiving society of the separate but equal days that clouded much of the racism a long time ago.

    It's not about race.

  • @ukiegrammy

why are african americans so important as a symbol of racism? is there not other races other than white and black? like asian, native american, etc? which there may be alot of white it is not completely white. plus like others said these children are from a largely white area, not from a diverse area.

  • 0:46 Spanish: Uy, la camara me enfoco, pondre bien mis manos. Oye!, tus manos! que manos? ah! mis manos... Jum!!... English: Oops, I focus the camera, I would put my hands well. Hey, your hands! whose hands? ah! my hands ... Jum !!...
  • Too bad it was a false prophet

  • Cela m'inspire à retourner à la chapelle, le plutôt possible. Père Céleste a besoin de moi. Merci au choeur des enfants pour avoir chanté tous ces beaux hymnes et surtout à Defendingmormonism d'avoir publié sur youtube.

  • Cool video. God bless. Believing in Jesus is enough to be saved.

Jesus said in John 6:47. If you believe in Him you have everlasting life. Once saved, always saved. John 5:24.

  • @jacksmack77

John 14:6 I am the way the truth & the life no man comes to the Father except through me

If we confess our sins He is faithful&just to forgive us our sins & cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we Confess w/ our mouth & believe in our heart that Jesus is Lord you will be saved

One must confess their sin (born of sin and sinful comits sins) , Repent and believe that Jesus is Lord raised from the dead (Easter)

a personal relationship w/ Jesus Christ is all that matters

  • @TheRoseville5 "a personal relationship w/ Jesus Christ is all that matters" so does that mean that I just have to have a personal relationship with Him and then I can do whatever I want? Does that mean I can go out and shoot somebody and other things that are not good?

If that's what you mean then I'll leave that to you to decide to live that way. I'll do my best to worship Him and follow His commandments. I'll be the first to say it's not always easy but I'll try.

  • @therob06

To have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ you MUST be Born Again. Not by water that doesn't mean much and it won't get you into heaven but born of the Spirit.

the comment I posted that you just responded to states exactly what one must do to be truly saved and able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. It is that simple

    (to be cont)

  • @therob06

    (cont)

your ? was "then I can do whatever I want?"

A - Absolutely NOT....when you die to self, and live to gain...you put on your new self and shed the old one.

The person you were is not the person you are now. You become a new creature the old is gone the new has come.

Your desire will be to serve our Maker and not be selfish but show others Christ who is in you. Galations 5:22-23 the fruit of the Spirit is love joy peace patience kind good faithful gentleness & selfcontrol

  • Poor kids are forced into this religion

  • @zatokk ... Actually that's not true they cant be members till there eight, then they are given the option to become a member or not its up to them.

  • @BGPOND30 That is a very ignorant comment. I can account for myself and hundreds of my friends who were forced to go to church. When we were 8, we WERE NOT given a choice or told by our parents, or the church for that matter that you dont have to be member now, the choice is up to you. We were just told to pay our tithing blah, blah, blah. Seriously, An 8 year old telling his devout mormon parents he no longer wishes to be in the church?!? Ya, get real pal.

  • @zatokk .....what how on earth was that even remotely ignorant comment, i just told you the facts, and yes you was given the choice at 8 its in the freak en church manual, i was told i had a choice when i was 8 and my kids was told they had a choice as well two of my kids did not so spear me your sob story.

  • @BGPOND30 First of all, learn proper english and learn how to spell. Secondly, no, we WERE NOT given a choice and you were not there in my ward, were you? That is the fact MORmON. I was stuck in that bogus religion for almost 15 years and never, ever did I see any 8 year old get the offer to leave. Nice try again. Any more ignorant comments? Are you going to try and tell me that their is archeological evidence for the BOM next? Take the church manual and shove it.

  • @zatokk ....ok can do, hope you find peace in life that's the important point take care..

  • @BGPOND30 when I was 8 I didn't want to get baptized. I was stubborn & my parents didn't think differently of me. I eventually came around about 7 months after I turned 8 on my own decision.

  • @zatokk no they aren't and why would they be also so many people convert, but if you don't agree then just listen to them they are so happy they know the church is true hear their voices feel the spirit love it and let it embrace you ket it wrap you in it's warmth

  • @hello32159 " No they arent and why would they be" So your telling me these kids just one day decided 'Hey, lets join the LDS church'. It has nothing to do with their devout mormon parents making them get up and go on Sunday? Uh Huh.... Sorry, its hard to feel the warmth when these kids are brainwashed. Its actually quite appalling they have to sing praise to a con man, bigot and adulterer.

  • This is my favorite hymn, and I loved this rendition. I especially like the part starting at 1:15, and then when they sing "there's hope smiling brightly before us, and we know that deliverance is nigh!" All these videos make me cry :)

  • It's me again, a polynesian man, from the Samoan tribe; I'm going to explain this again, if you don't believe the book of Mormon to be the word of GOD, then your wasting your time, you need to fast and pray mightily GOD; Polynesian language, Native American, Hebrew, Arab&Asian, all have similarities, which is 85%, almost 100%. Also, if you study the Bible from Gen. to Rev. you'll find out that the history of Joseph is missing; the Bible is only talking about the history of Judah; so, pray&fast.

  • And again, for all who don't understand all the mystries of the Kingdom of God, you need to humble yourselves and take the time! to study The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints; the one and only one true church; the Holy Ghost will not teach and convict you if pride, rebelliousness,& mocking is in you; once again, I'm polynesian the (samoan tribe.) so, just a simple advise, you need to fast and pray mightily before GOD, you will receive the answer. so, you have the choice.

  • I was born and raised in the island of Samoa (Polynesian), 22 years ago, i re-investigated THE Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, and wondering why the polynesian language, (native american: north, south, central) hebrew, arab and asian languages are 85% similarities, almost!!!!!! 100%. finally!!!!!! realized that we as island people are the true decendants of the native americans; some of us r also mixed w/africans&europeans, & realized this is the only true church&i join the church.

  • TOTALLY UPLIFTING!!!

LOL! DID ANYONE NOTICE THE VIBE BETWEEN THE REDHEAD BOY AND THE BRUENET BOY AT 0:46?!!

  • @MrGCABASHE He was telling him to get his hands out of his pockets! The camera got it at just the right time, haha

  • @MrGCABASHE Yeah, I think it's hilarious!

  • @DefendingMormonism hehehe i noticed it...cute

  • @MrGCABASHE Watch the arms of both kids. There must of been some rule: Arms down, but out of the pockets!!!

  • @MrGCABASHE 0:46 Spanish: Uy, la camara me enfoco, pondre bien mis manos. Oye!, tus manos! que manos? ah! mis manos... Jum!!... English: Oops, I focus the camera, I would put my hands well. Hey, your hands! whose hands? ah! my hands ... Jum !!...
  • @MrGCABASHE

    Yes, I did! LOL!!!!

  • @MrGCABASHE

No "vibe"; it was "Quit touching me!" -- "I didn't touch you!"

  • @MrGCABASHE: The only "vibe" is the red-headed kid trying to get his friend to stop playing pocket pool in front of thousands of people!

  • @GodsDervant05

I'm LDS, i'm 17, and I have atestimony of the Divinity of Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Savior, the God of this Earth, the Redeemer of Mankind sent to atone for our iniquity and sins thus making possible our safe return home to our Father. Jesus Christ is the Son of God the Eternal Father, and He lives. Know how Satan works, he will try to convince you that good evil. Obviously, if you've been lied to about our church, you can know with perfect knowledge that it was not supernal.

  • Being a convert, I love remembering the moment when my testimony was first really nourished. Now I read the gospel everyday and love the church with all my heart.

  • @KONGbeGONE Excellent!

  • @KONGbeGONE You should love Jesus Christ, who is GOD, with all your heart, not a church.

  • beautiful! Nuttin like a chorus of angelic voices 2 cheer ya up!

  • For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26.

  • @Wbeliever7 It looks beautful because it IS beautiful. It sounds beautiful because it IS beautiful. I agree that Satan can appear as a being of light....so how do YOU destinguish between them? If it LOOKS like truth on the surface then does that mean it ISN'T? Or if it looks like evil does that mean that it's really GOOD. Tell me how you can tell that those kid's parents are satan's followers? I decide by what the scriptures say about "good fruit". The LDS church has good fruit.

  • @TheWinterWaterSong wow!!! you are amazing! thank you for ur support!

  • @Wbeliever7 .Dude, seriously? You can look at all those sweet, christlike children and say that it's SATANIC that their parents encouraged them to sing? They're singing in God's name for crying out loud!! What's so evil about that? Isaiah 5.20

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.”

    Matt 7:18

“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”

We aren't against the gospel of Christ.

  • i'll be converting this sat! wish me luck!!!

  • @chrittlebug CONGRATS!!!!!!!

  • NICE!!!

    SO BEAUTIFUL ♥

  • Thank you Lord for Jesus! The Prophet!

  • Talvez você não sabe do que esta falando.

  • Beautiful!!! Blessed are the children for they are pure of heart. Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.

  • woooooooooooooooooooooow so cute

  • They're so cute O:-)

  • @billymeier182 I am not a Mormon but I don't know why many people criticize them Is it not similar to what the Jews did to Jesus Christ.. the true son of God? Because of this.. I am thinking of inviting LDS missionaries to teach me. I feel I will learn many things which i have not learned from the other denominations I visited. They teach good but i have many questions left unanswered. Maybe we can do the same Billy. Let us stop criticizing. Why not search more like what will I do soon.

  • I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here in Baguio City, Philippines, I was baptized when I'm still in highschool. I remember the missionaries coming to our home everyda, teaching us the gospel adn the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for us. And I am thankful I accepted the opportunity for the missionaries to teach us, I am happy that you are giving the missionaries a chance to share the gospel to you, you and your family will be blessed,. =]

  • @vernardtejada If you want some missionaries to teach you, and don't know where to find them, just let me know! I can help you out with that. :)

  • 18. Q. Should we bring back catechisms to teach our children?

    A. "This is pre-TV," Alford said. "I don't think this would work real well today." "I've envisioned trying to (use catechism drills) with our 9 and 10-year-olds." Alford said. "I think I would be tied up and duct-taped to the wall. But that is the way Primary and Sunday school for the youth worked in the 1880s."

  • 17. Q. Is this the only catechism book?

    A. No. Other Mormon authors such as Eliza R. Snow wrote various other catechism books. There are even collector card versions. Alford showed a series of catechism cards that were very popular, but of which only a few are known to still exist.

  • Children thank you for your sweet innocent rendition of we thank the oh God for a prophet. It is very heart warming.

  • At the news conference, Bishop Keith B. McMullin of the church's Presiding Bishopric reiterated the faith's commitment to that effort. The city block that holds the temple and a neighboring tabernacle is flanked on three sides by church-owned property. The church's real-estate arm has built nearly 300 apartments, Colonial Court, to the west and north in the past decade, including some units that are just going on the market.

  • As Ogden's downtown declined during recent decades, the temple, he said, "has been a symbol of hope and beauty."

It is the single biggest attraction, drawing devout Mormons from a large swath of northern Utah and western Wyoming, including Evanston, Godfrey said. The renovated temple will remain downtown's visual centerpiece, and the mayor expects nearby businesses -- including those expected in the planned Ogden River Project -- to thrive as more weddings are scheduled in the updated edifice

  • Another important part of the Utah Hospital Task Force mission objectiv was to assist in the clearance of orphans destined for American families. After meetings with Haiti's minister of social services, the minister of foreign affairs, the first lady, the prime minister, and the president of Haiti as well as multiple meetings with the U.S. ambassador and other U.S. officials, they were able to clear 141 orphans to the United States. Nearly half of the orphans were headed to Latter-day Saint home

  • "We can't save Haiti, but we will do all in our power to help our fellow Latter-day Saints get into safe, secure housing before the rainy season starts," Brother Studdert said. "If we leave them homeless when the rainy season comes, it is tantamount to leaving the pioneers stranded in the snow on the Wyoming plains."

  • With the rainy season looming and its increased potential for disease, the construction teams have also met with local priesthood leaders to begin assessing and procuring materials to repair members' homes.

  • The doctrine is repeated in sermons in the Journal of Discourses, such as this one by Charles W. Penrose: It is stated that the iniquity of man was great, and God brought a flood on the earth. Now, to understand that correctly we have to know what kind of position those persons were in, and why they were called the Sons of God. Those men were in the same position as the Latter-day Saints. They were heirs to the Priesthood. They were the sons of God. They had obeyed the holy covenants.

  • These verses in the Prophets revision give us a correct meaning, and from them we learn why the Lord was angry with the people and decreed to shorten the span of life and to bring upon the world the flood of purification. (Answers to Gospel Questions, 5 vols. [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1957-1966], 1: 136.)

  • Without doubt when this scripture was first written, it was perfectly clear, but scribes and translators in the course of time, not having divine inspiration, changed the meaning to conform to their incorrect understanding.

  • There is a prevailing doctrine in the Christian world that these sons of God were heavenly beings who came down and married the daughters of men and thus came a superior race on the earth, the result bringing the displeasure of the Lord. This foolish notion is the result of lack of proper information, and because the correct information is not found in the Book of Genesis Christian peoples have been led astray.

  • The correct information regarding these unions is revealed in the inspired interpretation given to the Prophet Joseph Smith in the Book of Moses.

  • welovemormonsdotblogspotdotorg

  • Thank you for this wonderful song! My kids loved to hear it too. With this song , we are all reminded to follow the prophets voice. Words of the prophet from the Liahona inspired us all to remain true to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and focus more on our ultimate goals in life, to be perfect and have eternal life.

  • Nice song! There are no more prophets in the true Biblical sense now; the canon of Scripture is closed. Any other book added to Scripture is false doctrine! Called and ordained pastors who correctly expound the Scriptures and stand in Jesus' stead are now our spiritual leaders! ANY ADDED DOCTRINES on top of Scripture are false doctrines and are to be expressly rejected! Thanks.

  • @AmericaTops

Are you referring to the New Testament which was "added" to the Old Testament after Moses explicitly states that no more was to be added to God's word?

    Hint: Deuteronomy 4:2

"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."

I guess all books added after that one then are false doctrine (e.g. the entire New Testament) and must be rejected?

  • @DefendingMormonism I think AmericaTops was referring to Hebrews 1:1-2

"1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son..."

Being an OT prophet and having the spiritual gift of prophesy as spoken of in 1 Cor. 12 are very different things. OT prophets were formerly the mouthpiece of God to speak to his people; Jesus was the intermediary for one and all forever.

  • @Enca73 God continues to call them today. God doesn't change, and it is blasphmous to think he is done speaking to His children.

  • Comment removed

  • all of the retards that make coments against mormons just to let you know all of the mormons don´t just make stuff up out hatred or ignorance or miss interpretation, if you went to school with a mormon you will know they are very honest so why will they lie or try to tell a fake story it just doesnt add up.

  • @AmericaTops Do you mean Revelations 22:18- end?

The Bible is composed of seperate letters and books. This verse speaks about the Book of Revelations itself, not the entire Bible. In Deuteronomy 4:2, Moses is talking about the commandments. Even after Jesus' arrival (and hence the entire New Testament) these commandments still stand. They are the everlasting commandments but if added scriptures don't contradict, this reasoning doesn't disqualify them

  • wonderful!

  • why so many negative comments?? Its just kids singing a church hymn. wooow people.

  • I never though that our church is a haven for saints, but a hospital for sinners. Intersting take.

  • Beautiful.

  • The Church is not a haven for saints - It's a hospital for sinners.

    THAT is so true.

I'll have to remember that one.

  • absolutely beautiful.

  • I think that moment is hilarious. As for classic Mormon behavior, 2009 is no time to hold onto stereotypes of yesteryear, my friend.

Having traveled all over the world, attended wards on 4 continents, and being exposed to all types of Mormons, I can only say that the one thing in common is that Mormons all strive to follow their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - with many mistakes along the way of course.

The Church is not a haven for saints - is a hospital for sinners.

  • @DefendingMormonism Beautifully put! I have felt so down so many times because I do not live up to the title 'Saint'. Thank you!

  • @DefendingMormonism AMEN!!!!!!!!

  • This is a great honor for these children and they are just taking it seriously!!!

  • ye right, like sing we thank thee o god for a communist.

  • @nurser11

Sorry, disregard the comment that was removed by me :) wrong person!

  • soo cute i am balling like a baby !! in all there songs lol , i am truly blessed to be i the the turht and a great prophet to be led by president Thomas S. Monson

  • Copyright issues with the 1960 Reina-Valera edition of the Spanish-language Bible resulted in the church using the public-domain 1909 Reina-Valera version as its source. While using the 1960 edition would have been more economical and efficient, Elder Jensen said the older text was a "blessing in disguise" as it resonated more with its English counterpart, the King James Version.

  • So when he was called in 2004 with Elder Lynn A. Mickelson of the Quorums of the Seventy to co-chair the church's Spanish Bible project, Elder Jensen found a labor of love. The process and result is what he calls "a marvelous work."

  • "Una obra maravillosa" — A marvelous work

Elder Jay E. Jensen of the Presidency of the Seventy has an understandably deep love for the scriptures, the Hispanic people and the Spanish language. Before his 1992 call as an LDS general authority, he was director of the church's Scripture Coordination. His college education included certification to teach Spanish. Missionary and leadership assignments have taken him across Latin America.

  • "Santa Biblia: Reina Valera 2009" represents the first time the church has published an edition of the Bible in a language other than English, but it is also a natural progression in a pedigree of LDS editions of the scriptures — the English King James Version in 1979, the English-language LDS "triple combination"

  • "Una obra maravillosa un milagro inspirado unificar y facilitar."

Those are the Spanish words — English translations are in the subheads below — some Mormons are using to describe the groundbreaking new Spanish-language edition of the Holy Bible prepared by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  • LDS Church publishes new Spanish-language Bible

Translation praised for adding clarity and depth

  • I love the bit at 50-54 where one boy tells the other to take his hands out of his pockets and the other boy responds by getting angry and pulls a face. Perhaps he is already on the road to apostacy.

  • When I saw that at conference, I laughed out loud. My husband turned to me and whispered, "You know that would be our kid."

  • jesus saves ou from everything you idiot.[[Tavlo]]

  • " We thank thee"\ O God- for sending a prophet for sending the gospel for ever blessings by thou boutiful hand we feel it pleasure to serve thee(God) doubt not the Lord nor 9his goodness we sing of his goodness and mercy(God) we praise him by day and night(God) we rejoice in his glorious gospel (God) We thank thee God for our prophet to guide us in these latter days.: A sweet message
  • how beutiful! pehaps one day I will b mormon!

  • you should because it is the only religion i believe in.... like you, i wondered if i shoul b a mormon. i did the right thing and joined in.. i'm an active member... im glad that ive made that decision

  • im so glad to see people like you, Sonemss. im glad you are an active member, so am I and i love this church, its members and the whole gospel. this song is amazing <3

  • @chrittlebug Jesus Christ is Lord and God. Mormonism teaches a false Jesus who is only a brother. This is a lie. Jesus is GOD and KING FOREVER AND EVER!

  • @GodsServant05 You couldn't be more wrong about Mormonism. Mormons worship Jesus Christ with all their heart, might, mind and strength. We know him to be the Son of God and Savior of all mankind. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can overcome sin and death. THIS is what Mormons believe. Please rid yourself of old stereotypes and misinformation.

  • @DefendingMormonism My family is Mormon and I have researched in great detail so no need to explain your beliefs. You worship a different Jesus than Christians do. He isn't a God; He is God. You are worshiping a false God who doesn't save.

  • @DefendingMormonism

Give me a break, no Christian believes that the book of Mormon is a sacred text or that Jesus visited some Indian tribe in North America. If you got rid of that made-up idiocy you'd get respect.

  • @gleamcube

Idiocy, eh? Is this how Christians speak of the beliefs of others--nearly 14 million living others? Is this how Christians insult and degrade people who's faith is divergent from their own? If so, I cringe to be called Christian.

  • @xenartemisnight Come on. You know perfectly well that 14 million people do not believe in mormonism. Let's be generous and say there are 6.5 million active mormons in the world. I wonder though, even in this group, how many really believe, or are just in it because it is their heritage and culture.

  • @bossendenwoodconvict First of all, what religion u belong to?& what makes u think, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints is about heritage&culture?i hope u know what i mean; look, this is Gods primitive church, has been restored back on earth 4 da salvation of all mankind; 1 more question, how familiar u r w/the scriptures? tell me. u know what, this is the only true church in the universe; well, ans me.

  • @CWMaua12 There are a lot of religions making the same claims as the LDS, some of them other mormon ones. Please view the following video, "The Lost Book of Abraham." One viewing should be enough to settle any doubts about the truth or otherwise of Joseph Smith's work.

  • @DefendingMormonism Mormons also think the book of Mormon is holy scripture and Jesus came to North American. No Christians believe that.

  • @GodsServant05 Wrong. Go to LDS.org and not where ever you're getting your information from.

  • @chrittlebug u will be! keep investigating and don't let ppl get u in the way if the antis!

  • The mormon religion is a great religion.

  • DefendingMormonism. Dont you love it how people have no respect at all for these children and their beautiful singing? Where has all the common dignity gone

  • Hey Storm,

Don't know if you meant me, but if you look back my comments before omiolo attacked me, you'll see that I mentioned how cute the kids are and what a great job they are doing.

    It's a great video. :-)

    Blessings.

  • "but if you look back my comments "

yes, PLEASE look back at his comments.

asking you to PROVE an erroneous accusation you made is ATTACKING?

How about you don't make the erroneous accusation, especially about the children?

Also, please STOP worshiping a cross. Worship Jesus Christ!

  • Dude, calm down.

As I said before, we don't worship the cross.

Omiolo, you started in with this notion of cross worship as a deterrent from the fact that this song praises a mere mortal man. I was making the point that it's too bad they aren't singing about Jesus, but then you took into your spin world.

    Worship Jesus, not Joseph.

  • Tavlo,

Why don't you STOP worshiping the cross and then we could probably have a normal conversation. Idol worship makes people irrational!

  • Put on your glasses Omiolo. Read again.

    No cross worship.

  • why do people think mormons worship Joseph Smith? i'd really like to know.

  • the angels was singing the song in heaven.. nyahaha

  • They're singing thanks to the Lord, we don't need to say Jesus Jesus Jesus to be a good chrinstian hymn.

  • Adorable!! Very sweet kids... too bad they aren't singing about Jesus. :-(

  • Half of the song is explicitly about our Lord Jesus Christ:

    2. ...There is hope smiling brightly before us,

And we know that delivrance is nigh.

We doubt not the LORD nor his goodness.

Weve proved him in days that are past..

    3. Well sing of HIS goodness and mercy.

Well praise HIM by day and by night,

    Rejoice in his glorious gospel,

And bask in its life-giving light..

The rest of the song expresses reverence for the Prophet who represents Christ and teaches his Gospel, just like in times past.

  • In past times they would never sing praises about a prophet. But we're getting off subject.

The kids are really sweet. Thanks for posting. :-)

  • "In past times they would never sing praises about a prophet"

    prove it!!!

or is proof for EVERYONE else?

  • Try reading the Bible omiolo, you'll get your answers.

  • Tavlo,

tryy worshiping God instead of a cross. Then maybe you will be able to recognize the good things of this world.

  • Poor omiolo,

You are so lost my friend.

One day you will realize how silly your comments are and you will be the one telling other uneducated Mormons what Christianity is really about.

I truly pray to God that you will accept Jesus into your heart and allow Him to make you a new creation.

    Much love,

    ~Tavlo

  • Talvo,

no matter what you say Mormons REFUSE to worship a cross. We worship Jesus Christ, our Savior!

  • I don't know where you get your cross worshiping ideas.

You say that you worship Jesus Christ your "Savior", what is he saving you from?

  • "I don't know where you get your cross worshiping ideas. "

why don't you STOP worshiping the cross and then we can worry about other things?

  • You still don't understand, so I'll make it a simple question...

Where do you get the idea that we worship the cross?

Is that simple enough for you?

Oops, I asked 2 questions... now what will you do? Oh!! Another!!!

And the question still stands: What is Jesus saving you from?

    Can you handle it?

  • Tavlo,

just because you worship a cross that does NOT give you the right to mock me!

  • I'm not mocking you, you are doing a great job of it on your own.

We do not worship the cross... just to answer the question for you.

Now, answer me this: What does Jesus save you from?

  • Tavlo,

Jesus was sent by God to save all mankind from eternal damnation. (There are too many references in the New Testament to list.) To save us from our fallen state, so that we can overcome death and repent so that we can return to live with God again.

  • edefying... I know exactly what the Bible says about salvation. My question is to Mormons... what is Jesus saving you from?

Mormon doctrine doesn't really have "damnation", so what is Jesus saving us from?

  • "I know exactly what the Bible says about salvation"

    I wish you did!

  • You still haven't answered my question omiolo...

What is Jesus saving you from?

  • In the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the terms "saved" and "salvation" have various meanings. As used in Romans 10:910, the words "saved" and "salvation" signify a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ. Through this covenant relationship, followers of Christ are assured salvation from the eternal consequences of sin if they are obedient. "Salvation" and "saved" are also used in the scriptures in other contexts with several different meanings.

  • @Tavlo

We believe that Christ Atoned for our sins. Everyone on the earth sins (as we all know) and in order to be remitted of those sins Christ had to come and Atone for them. I wouldn't use the word "saved" b/c you're right, we don't believe in the worldly belief of "damnation" however, we do believe that in order to reside with God after we die we must have our sins removed. and that we have to follow Christ's example in loving others. Unfortunately, some other Mormons on this video aren't.

  • Omiolo, yelling at people because they "worship the cross" is just as ignorant as people that tell Latter-day Saints to stop worshipping Joseph Smith. Most other Christians DO NOT worship the cross, but use it as a symbol of faith. We do not use the cross as such a symbol (because the cross is just one part of the whole Atonement, and His resurection is the most important) but that does not make the cross evil.

  • Everybody trying to "subdue" Omiolo, I'd suggest to give it a rest. His/Her's opinions are deeply rooted, and however off-center they are, it's a wasted effort, and I think we can spend our time helping others through good works instead of Bible bashing, if you could call these statements even that.

  • @GeorgeMaj15

"I think we can spend our time helping others through good works instead of Bible bashing"

    or omiolo bashing.......

  • @omiolo

By the way, I'm Mormon and you're giving all members a bad name when you are blatantly mocking other people's religion which we, as members, deal with every day and try to withstand. So tell me, why would you attack another person's religion? You know nothing of @Tavlo's religion. And i have NEVER met a Christian who "worship's" a cross. Catholic's bow in HUMILITY to the Cross when they are going up to the front of the chapel but that's just their way of showing reverence to Christ.

  • are you saying they are NOT Christian?

  • @omiolo

I'm absolutely not saying anything of the sort. I believe that anyone (whether they belong to any church or not) that believes that God is the Eternal Father and that Jesus Christ atoned for their sins and that He is the way the truth and the light is a Christian.

  • James 2:19

  • @omiolo

Great, and there are many other passages of scripture describing that those who believe on His word are His people. *Christians*

The bottom line is that I don't appreciate you persecuting others' beliefs when you get up in arms about them persecuting yours.

  • "persecuting others' beliefs"

let us NOT get in a hissy!

There is NO need to deny James 2:19
