They don't do enough classic Doctor Who cliff-hangers these days. The last proper one was at the end of the Stolen Earth, and that was probably the best cliff-hanger of all time XD
@JamieBugajski true he was, his overall style reminds me of a carryover of the 60s. Ive seen pics of family back in the day that had hair like tom baker back in the 60s too...but then again I wasnt around then, so I wouldnt know first hand ,lol

Dr Who is my favourite Science Fiction series .
Tom Baker and John Pertwee were the best doctors . Now i see why Dr Who has lasted so long , it still remains the best British Science Fiction series of all time .
what does age have to do with content? There are some VERY old movies that even something being released TODAY can't even come close to in terms of screenplay, characters.

@obiwanobiwan13 This one - Genesis of the Daleks. But to appreciate you have to have grown up with the Daleks and overlook the shakey sets. It is a continuing joke that all foreign planets in Dr Who look like quarries in SE England (and now the grimy parts of Wales). I would be interested to know which episodes you saw. The series is very British particularly the classic series. Most of the fans know the back story of the main character and the premise of the series which is a help.

@sync380 You have options you could begin with "an unearthly child" which is the very first television serial however most episodes from the sixties are lost due to a bbc policy of "clearing" however full soundtracks still remain and it takes a bit of searching to see online episodes. or you could start with "Rose" which is the first of the "new series". Google "Doctor Who Guide" and the first result is a full chronological list of his adventures on and off screen.

Thumbs up if you were a "Who-vian" since you were a kid staying up late to watch the Doctor on public access at ungodly times of the morning?

I saw this on tv for the first time a couple days ago. I look it up and find there's over 700 episodes 0_o WHERE DO I BEGIN! OH GOD!

Although I was only 9 years old at the time, I had a big crush on Sarah (Sara?).
