Everybody is free to talk about his/her opinion, this is one of the best performances I have ever heard in my life. She is a Genius. I'm so happy that finally someone except Kissin in this century can touch me. Love you Valentina.....

people,I don't want to be rude and insult someone by sayng this,but...where is legato???everything is staccato or NON legato!this is insane i think..:(
If she didnt have the "floaty wirsts" shes be so much more cool to me... just seems like show to me, beethoven didnt have floaty wrists, thats for damn sure :) and this is the closest I think to how he would have played it....
Valentina, you are amazing---I havent heard you give a bad performance yet. Thank you so much for your wonderful art---I'm sure Beethoven would've loved to hear you play this--- ; . )
Valentina is brilliant. At the top of her form. I can't see how she could get any better from here -- precision AND style. And personality, too. Visit her YouTube channel and see if you don't agree. Amazing. Simply amazing talent.
I've had the privilege of hearing many of the up-and-comers in person ( Yuja Wang, Di Wu, Olga Kern, and some others), but frankly I've never heard anyone like Valentina. I'm not trying to get involved in useless arguments about who's the "best", just relating my experience.
She is great! But it never tops the performance by Wilhelm Backhaus playing this with Bruno Walter conducting Berlin Phil. It is my icon to this date.
A sadly immature performance. Nottes need not be hypershort just to show she can play them that way. Let hand should be "marked out" . Accelerando runs detract if they get muddy as they speed up (compare with Horowicz who started the practice and did it with NO muddiness).
Listen to Stephen Kovacevich if you want to hear it done right.
This is YouTube. You cannot dissect the performance on the basis of this degraded reproduction. Nor is there only one way to play music, particularly Beethoven. I think you're just a little bit jealous.
Total agreement with you. It is also worth noting that Valentina is in complete control of the orchestra here, all of the tempos and the complete style of the performance are chosen by this very strong and accomplished musician. I know from her CD recordings that she is a master of subtle and beautifully interpreted music. I also like to find this sort of playing on youtube as I can study the effortless technique that is used to do this. I could listen to your playing all day Valentina. :)
Bob, Clearly you sound like you know what you're talking about and maybe you can help me out. I'm intereseted in improving my Kazoo playing. It has become quite stagnent and somewhat flat, almost birthday party level. Could your well trained ear and musical genius possibly be open for training? It would be immensely appreciated. Kindest regards,

Muy buena orquesta, y sobre Lisitsa nada que se pueda agregar o quitar.
Ahora,... ¡ qué personaje el timbal ! Un espectáculo aparte. ¿De dónde lo sacaron?
