This is the most bored I've ever seen Cardiacs in recent years. Luckily I live in London for thr the Astoria gig every year where we have fun. Crowd shots here are almost static. "I say! these chaps aren't gay here in Brighton! Nor are they middle class red-wine-expert hippies!"
Bad place to play I think. Cardiacs will never say much to people on the mortgage ladder. Speaks volumes to renters.
After many many Cardiacs gigs I can tell you this ... This song is always great live. I suspect Brighton was at fault. And anyway this sounds fine considering it's recorded on a dictaphone.
