It also prey on monitor lizards, monkeys (macaqes) small dogs and pigs and Harpy would have a hard time cathing up with the Philippine eagle its a fast flyer like a giant goshawk with the largest wing area, longest claws and not to mention a large powerful beak almost 3 times the size of Harpies beak. my brother kill a harpy eagle a few years ago, they are huge .i took some pictures with its wings .i still have its claws .And i have to say that i hate what he did,such beautifull bird never deserve what he did to it.unfortunately there's nothing i can do

by these eagles; harpy heavier yes.. but strongest I think it will be a toss-up between the two species.
The Haribon largest prey recorded was a Phil. Cervus deer, attacks a large python. While Harpy's largest recorded prey was a red howler monkey.
