The flying is the nuts. Did anyone notice the recover bat and the screw driver strapped down at the front. I was thinking of using the 9100 with dual redundancy. I don't think there is room on the 550e. Great video!!

Well, the pilot may be excellent, but I can't help myself admitting that I do not like 3D-flying. Where is the link to reality? I prefer RC helicopters looking like real ones and flying like real ones. Sorry!

This is called "Hardcore Smack 3d" and it's not for babies XD The link to reality is that with enough practice and setup skill it can push the frontier of the hobby right past "scale" to the next level of performance. Don't apologize, we all like what we like.

electric has massive power. Watch a 90 nitro and then this thing and the 90 nitro looks slow, if that was even possible!

@TheTruthHurtsYup The thing I prefer with nitro, is that you have to place the time and effort into it to keep it going and running correctly, and that there is an element of temperament from the motor that electric power just does not give you with it's 'plug and playness'.

Electric may be getting superior performance, but IMHO, nitro is still for the pure hobbyist out there who enjoys the time at the workbench almost as much as they do flying!

Nitro is nearly as powerful as the electric, the real advantage to nitro is the flight time and refuel speed, not the power. Keep in mind that this is a stock motor, and surely people will put more powerful motors and batteries in there eventually, (at the expense of flight time).

There's a video that is probably the best example of the power difference; The heli is nearly an identical set up flown by Alan at the same place:

But electric still is more powerfull then nitro... In this movie there's almost no bogging, in opposite to the nitro, which bogs almost all the time.

I've seen these 700 E (nitro conversions) fly and they have seemingly unlimited power. The flybarless setup makes me drool. I love the power.
