Very interesting... I can't tel from the video, but is this the Type 1 or Type 2 engine? I'm thinking Type 1 since you mentioned in an earlier comment it's got a 5-speed manual(which all Type 2 cars in the US had a 6-speed). If it's a Type 1 5-speed, then this is a good indication of what mine can do. :)

@Feuerstoss - yes, this is Type 1, 205 HP, I don´t think there was officially sold Type II in Europe. At least not in Slovakia. Or Germany, as this car comes from there :)

@19shawn85 - Yes, the gear ratios are really a bit shorter than expected, gives the car nice pull on every gear, but needs to be more often shifted.

@sniffsumglu - Actually, this engine does not have the VTEC technology included, it´s an ordinary 4 valves DOHC system.

I'm looking at 94 coupe AT model at the moment. Any recommendation for what I should look for in particular? very like the car, drove it once(my mate's) and like it so much have to get one for myself.

Do you know that a Ferrari is faster than your Mondeo? And a fighter plane is even much faster than the Ferrari? And a space rocket is much much faster than the fighter?

I didn´t say anywhere on this video that my car is fast. I just posted the acceleration, if anybody is interested. Do didn´t understand the point.

@fitnessmies : 6 sec ? A 14 year old car with 215000 Km, 205 HP and 1550 kg ? How could it do in 6 seconds? And beside this is a luxury car, not a sports car, it´s created for smooth riding, not for drag racing. As I said before, I just posted the video for people interested in this car, I know it´s not fast and I don´t care, I love it for other reasons.

i timed 7.3 seconds sprint to 60mph [100km/h] not bad....i wonder what my coupe get's ..since i have a 4spd auto instead of the great 5 or 6spd =[.

i have hit 230km/h in my 91 lgnd coupe by myself, but it can go faster! was still pulling at that speed

Well, officially 226 Km/h. But I will try it next year on autobahn on way to carshow in Frankfurt :)

160 mph is 256 Km/h and it wont do that for sure :)  So far my GPS has showed max 218, but it was with full car of people. I will try sometimes alone.

I got mine to 155mph or 249kph, but i set back the limiter to 160mph. should i set it to 200mph and see what happen? my friend told me a ka9 should handle 220mph/354 on a straight smoothly.

No, I´ve got the 2nd generation of Legend, so it is 3.2 V6 And yeah, it´s around 8 sec, unfortunatelly, I have to change to 3rd gear, it would be better time when I would manage 100km/h in second.

I have an European model, so it has 5 gears. Would be nice with 6 gears :)
