it just sounds like it switches to two different notes to me, but I guess I'm wrong or else you wouldn't post this haha. to the other commenter I think the term you're looking for is reciprocal breathing? You can't do that with whistling though because you use your cheeks and you just can whistle that way. Kenny g used to hold the record at 45 minutes, now someone broke it and it's past an hour and 30 minutes! non stop one note.

You are not whistling 2 notes at the sametime. What you have do is a musical/physics phonomina known as an over tone. Every pitch has an "over tone" which is another note that can be heard above it if you have the ears to hear it. Usually over tones arn't something that stick out. As far as a musical technique, this would be called a harmonic (not to be confused with harmony).

last i checked whistling is using a steady sir stream as well as as contraction of ur airways to produce a sound not unlike that which can be made using a recorder while humming is merely a vibration of your vocal chords and i can actually breath out through my mouth and in through my nose
