@WHOMEWHOYOU Unfortunately, the original film is either too far gone or complete dust by now. That's why they edited the IOW dvd the way they did.

It's certainly possible this was never recorded for the film. Obviously, we're all fans of "Sparks," but if you're the square director (and he is a square judging by the DVD featurette), this was simply an instrumental that made a good time to reload all the cameras. It looked like it was just a couple guys with hand-held cameras, nothing like the professional filming of today.

@luksmr88 Sparks was actually composed in 1967, the same tune/riff is played at the end of the song Rael from 1967's 'Who Sell Out' album. Pete reinvented it for Tommy as 'Sparks'.

the footage doesn't exist. All over the dvd they had to cut visuals from other songs into performances they were missing sections of. It was almost thirty years that this stuff was lying unused.

Yes they did. I got it from the audio CD.

They also cut: "1921" and "Smash the Mirror".

I think that this version of Sparks is the best one!, sounds really nice...
