  • do you know the make of the left hand control?

  • @qwikyking The only thing it says is the company logo, CEV. I tried searching the internet and I'm not able to find a universal CEV brand switch with these same features. You might try looking up a parts diagram for a 2006 KTM 625 SMC, though I've not had much look with that for other parts.

  • @dodgerider26 no problem haha that ktm is a nice bike!

  • Weird setup....so you have two engine kill switches? Must be a Euro thing. Looks like lots of fun though. Enjoy

  • @dodgerider26 i would just get some slip ons if i were you plus you would properbly need to rejet with a full system not so much so with a slip on could be wrong. but yhh akras are overrated in my mind ended up geting a mivv xcone on my hornet better sound and 150 quid cheaper.

  • @woolstonman Unfortunately my bike already is too lean from the factory. It has a hanging idle issue whenever it gets below 50 degrees which is indicative of a very lean mix. I could turn the fuel screw way out to fix it, but the real issue is that I need a richer idle circuit, not a richer fuel/air screw setting. Since I already have the jet kit on order I'll just do it at the same time as the exhaust. Worst case it will be too quiet and I'll have to get something else anyway.

  • WTF!? My 400EXC has the chain on the left and the kickstart on the right. What's up with yours ?? Why?

  • @davidhowellca I've heard rumors that KTM even built some 625cc LC4 motors with a right-hand kick.... it's just one of the quirks of owning such an awesome bike. I actually am starting to like the right hand chain though since I can see stuff easier while the bike is leaning on the stand. Makes maintenance easier.

  • very nice indeed would look and sound killer with some nice pipes akras are good but there too damn expensive if you buy new always worth a look around

  • @woolstonman Yeah, I like the Akrapovic sound but I'm not willing to pay $1,500 for a full exhaust on this bike... I felt my SV was expensive for a full system at around 800-900. This thing is outrageous on parts price but at the end of the day I'm still willing to pay for it. I mean, it's just so darn awesome, so beautiful, such a great bike. Oh well... Fast, Reliable, Cheap. You can only have 2 so I guess it's good KTM went for Fast/Reliable...

  • supermoto looks fine little dirty, dont bother :)

Sent video response, shows my 2006 625 smc on the begining.

  • dirty??? Man, that's super clean compared to mine... and I just spent several hours detailing it today. I'll spend several more hours tomorrow. I was finding mud and chunks of rock in some really weird places...

I bet that's why my fork seals are shot... :-/

  • I wish my DR-Z had a backup kick start. Had to sit around at a gas station in the middle of nowhere for a few hours until someone came by who could give me a jump when my batter when kaput.

  • @xianshengzhengxiong all models have a spot to put the kick start back in, :\ you can always push start it to, or get some noobs to push it for you ( i prefer using the later option then ride off into the sunset with a nice wave.)

  • @bloodhay Didn't know there was a place to put a kick start in; I'll have to look into that more. Tried push starting it to no avail. Maybe I'm just not very good at push starting a bike, haha. I'm still relatively new to it, four months or so. I definitely want to get a backup kick starter for it though!

  • @xianshengzhengxiong HEHE yeah, this one time i had my dad push me on my Cb750 down a hill, to try and start it, when i realized i didnt have the key turned :\

  • Very nice! Weird that the chain is on the other side

  • She ain't street legal tho! Guess you'll have to ride bike trails to work.

  • I hadn't heard about that type of clutch before. How is it different in performance than a typical setup?

  • @BastardBiker With hydraulic clutches you can have stiffer clutch springs in the engine allowing for a stronger engaging clutch with a buttery smooth clutch handle. The clutch lever on this bike is the easiest I've ever used and it's perfectly smooth and linear when operating the clutch... And, with a big, torque happy single cylinder, I imagine they used pretty stiff clutch springs to hold engagement when the engine is running.

  • Looks like someone needs a new intro now :) Nice bike

  • @420FlyByNight Yeah... I've been trying to get footage for it all day but it was only 33F by noon today. I should have a new intro ready within a week or so. I mean, you can't really expect me to be doing wheelies on the new bike after just 2 days, right? ;-)

  • Rubber Metal Sexy.

  • FIRST!

  • @Iamdustyyy Are you sure? I could have deleted the comment that first said, "first".... just sayin...

  • @dodgerider26 haha you probably did. I was just playing around.

  • @Iamdustyyy Yep, no worries. I'm not one of *those people* who gets really upset when people comment like that. I actually think it's useful... I start my upload just before leaving for work and when my phone vibrates because someone commented "FIRST" I know the video upload finished. ;-)

  • @dodgerider26 Alright, we cool. And i like your new bike.
