  • Even tho he needed the first note for the lipsynch - this remains one of my favorite Johnny Farnham songs. Thank you for reposting! Also, jsut because the human body can move that way doesn't mean it should and definitely not behind a fledgling singer.

  • I love this song and hope Johnny might do it again (or anyone else!) ♥Ü♥

For those of you watching the dancers behind him do you recognise the blonde woman? Yep the gorgeous Patti McGrath soon to be the wife of Bert Newton.

Always smiling - which was typical and not all that lyrically correct! But we loved the simple life of the 60's - Flower Power! Peace! Free love! Make love not war! The age of Aquarius & end to innocence! Chookas! ☼Ü☼

  • Unbelievable to actually find this clip he is so good I still have my 45 & ended up playing this song only, still listen to it over & over really need to replace my 45, have tried to get this on CD for years if someone can help GREAT! wish John would include this in his greatest hits... LOVE IT

  • i have looking for this clip for so long.. only hear it on the old 45... i love it

  • Was always impressed by go-go dancers on aussie videos of 60s - they can dance in a very sophisticated way for an easy tune like this. The guy on the right looks like Ross Coleman, if it's him it's no wonder

  • Love this song. Played this more than Sadie when I had the single in 1967.

  • I like this song but I've never heard of it or him...was he not famous in the USA?

  • @SixtiesMusicLover . Hi Rona thanks for your comment on or Johnny Farnham no not big in the USA , but huge here in his homeland Australia. If you like your sixties music then check out John's other early hits ,and then maybe other Australian sixties acts i'am sure you will find some "gems". thanks again Gary ..

  • @malabu2 Thank you, I will listen to more songs by him. I already like The Seekers and The Easybeats from Australia but I'll look for some more. Maybe you can suggest a few for me to listen to?

  • @SixtiesMusicLover Hi, I am a girl from the 60's in Australia! Look at all the AUSSIE OLDIES songs here on youtube, there are hundreds of great songs, and artists. Little Pattie, Flying Circus, Joy Boys, Twilights, just to mention a few. I'm sure you will enjoy them all. Cheers.

  • @SixtiesMusicLover Listen to THE BEATING OF MY HEART by HEINZ, it's a grest song. If you like this one you will like Heinz a lot too.

  • @malabu2 Thanks for uploading. I wonder if you have "As long as life goes on" ?

  • @tenniscollector No sorry i don't ,but someone else could, fingers crossed .

  • @malabu2 Thanks. It's since been taken care of. Also i uploaded "Two".

  • @SixtiesMusicLover He had the option of being big in the US but declined because of the stress it would have put on his family. But the man is a really great singer, if you expand past the sixties he's got some awesome eighties hits as well.

  • THose dancers are really putting out behind him (as was the fashion), but I had to have a copy of this record after discovering it on youtube earlier. I'm so glad this was reposted - Many thanks!

  • Great song, thanks.

    John actually wrote this song.
