Just one guy with a cheap electric guitar and a tiny Pignose battery amp (remember those?), playing and singing really fast, but with a lot of rhythm. I was overwhelmed. Great, of course, but the live slow version from the VU is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever heard recorded. I think it's on "1969." That's the version the Cowboy Junkies copied.
