Dj shadow-building steam with a grain of salt....he took the opening piano riff out of the storch song which i have no problem with cause the opening piano line is the only good part of that song. Not an oldies fan but regardless i just didn't like it.  Dj shadow is a pretty amazing producer. Has more in his mind then bass and claps.

Samples are given away for free for advertising. If you tried to sell entire songs, than yes, you could get "fucked," but you can't if you just use samples, like he did.

@durge666 exactly,thats the point he can make music from houndreds difrent samples creating new music ,and he is great with it,it would be difrent when he just could take whole song and remake it ,u know what i mean like taking song of e.p. lady gaga ,put it the same title and just changed rythm etc but he is making new difrent music from many difrent pieces wich is not similar at all from any track he cut the sample(except the sample;p)
