Oh jeez, one of my favorite songs too. Voices of Liberty just makes this so odd, but I assume this is to model how it's suppose to go during the show, right? Interesting... BTW, is the entire CD like this?

I'm assuming this is Soprano 2's CD? Or is it Alto? I went during the holiday of 2006, and I was in Soprano 1.

absolutely horrid. i learned it while playing it in the shower, and my dogs would howl. my cd was split first and second sop. and the high 'divine' set them off :P so hilarious.

it sounds worst than the voices of liberty cd. voices of liberty are the best singing group they dont really sing bad its just a rehearsal cd. they actually sound better but voices of liberty are still better

There voices maybe really pop but the opening of this isn't much better, I sang alto last year and the cd at least helped me know my notes and the singer didn't breath in the wrong spots.

My teacher makes fun of the voices of liberty. I have a guy chorus teacher, and he sounds just like the CD. So I was afraid. But the VOL are actually a lot better in person :)

Wow, I'm working on my old High school's audition dvd right and they mentioned this CD sucks, I hadn't heard it til now. I gave them my copy of the ACTUAL performance. This doesn't even compare.

haha so funny you posted the practice tape. that is so hard to listen to but it helped the first time I had to perform with candlelight.

I'm an alto II by the way, so this is the ultimate reflection on learning this stuff haha

Voices of Liberty have terrible voices if seperated from the others and they don't switch to solo mode. They have excellent voices for solos, too, but this is a recording of them all singing together, into seperate mics.

ive been doing it for 3 years and ive year to hear a pleasant one. they probably have the same people.
