I miss the puppet version. I just don't understand why they had to change to clay animation ? It's not as though it's easier ; I'm sure animation still takes just as much , if not more effort and time to create. Oh well, next generation won't know any different I guess.

They didn't change to clay animation completely. Just this segment. They'll continue to use puppets.

I've been a Gumby fan since childhood, so I appreciate the time and skill it takes to make a show like this. There used to be lots of these kinds of claymation productions, so it's somewhat nostalgic for me.

I prefer the Muppets too. But I like the claymation as well. It takes a lot of talent and work to do it convincingly. For an example, look up The Adventures of Mark Twain.
