  • oh god. I remember that. we had it when I was a kid. It was intatters last time I saw it...

  • Thank you for flipping through the pages. I have long since lost my copy of this, since I was a dumb kid at the time and didn't take care of my stuff so well, especially stuff that I would have loved to see 20 years later. Ah, memories...

  • Nice. One thing that I actually *do* still have.. Got mine with my subscription.. still looking for my issue one (SMB2, Metroid maps.. great issue)..

  • Oh God. Dat concept art.

To be honest, I liked it when Final Fantasy was a video game and not an anime...

  • @alexthepure

It never was trully an anime, it still tries to make characters a little bit more "human", however, without actually triyng to be realistic. Creating it's own style that way...

  • where did u get that from what game shop where and how how much

  • @jellybean2423 ebay

  • @rejectofsoul24 ha ha ha ha i know but i got a final fantas guide online here free for torrent

  • I really wanted the stratedgy guide. Years ago, a friend of mine had it. I remember it had so many mistakes but mistakes or not, I still want to find one. Great video.

  • Retrogamer3 makes awsome videos. Thats cool that you have the magazine and it looks in great condition.

  • would final fantasy be worth 25 $? or should i pass on the game? keep up the excellent work!

  • nice condition for a twenty year old magazine! thats amazing. And now I know that people from seattle is called seattlelites! Fun video AND educational. Sorry for my bad english ( I blame the swedish schools).

  • This is so fricking perfect.

I was hoping you would do it and flip through the whole book.

The artwork through the guide is fantastic and

    it was so well done.

    Thanks John.

  • i have the original game with me but never play it all the way

  • ah~ I see you grew up from the uppity-up Bellevue area hey! Just kidding! I work in Kirkland. Great video of a past strategy guide dude. I can't believe you moved from the best place to live in the US however (except for the weather...).

  • oh no here we go nestalgiaholic plug show!!!

  • very cool book! one of my favs of all time.

  • Unfortunately when I got my Nintendo Power Collection, this one was in pretty rough shape. Looks like a dog got it. Still, the rest were all in really good shape.

  • Thanks for the video man. I love looking through these old magazines and guides.

  • Nice video and your guide is in excellent condition. I miss artwork like that on magazines, advertisements etc. that look hand drawn.

  • The old guides/magazines are great. The artwork on the cover is nice on that one.

  • lol... john, you must be the sexiest youtuber when comes to unfolding magazines :-D

  • Ive played the version for the GBA but not the original for the NES. Just curious as to what all is different (aside from the graphics obviously). Thanks.

  • you should check out retrogamer3's review

  • I wish I kept mine in good shape, now I don't even know where mine is.

  • More nasty or interesting bugs: Xfer will never work when you cast it, but enemy xfer works on YOU. Hel2 casts as powerfully as Hel3. Numerous other bugs exist with hit%, evade, and lots of other stuff under the hood. Elemental and status weakness weapons dont work either. Ice sword does not hurt fire monsters more, coral sword does not hurt water monster more, etc. There is webste has fixed most of these bugs and close to a public release of a rom patch!!!, send me pm if you want links to it.

  • Some nasty bugs in this game. Sabr and tmpr do nothing. Lock does nothing. Lock 2 actually BOOSTS all enemy evasion! Never use this. Int does not boost attack and cure magic effects; a fighter casts cure1 with SAME EFFECT as a white wizard and ninja casts fire with SAME dmg as black mage. Holding B is SUPPOSED to run fast in towns/dungeons if you have a thief in your party. using cabin cures your hp, THEN saves, then fills your mp. If you reload you load with no mp restored because of this.

  • I have a fallen apart copy of the Ninja Gaiden 2 NES strategy guide. It had comic book stuff in it. I also have the NES Atlas and that Password book, both in crappy condition -_-

  • i still have my guide too! one of my prized possessions. great vid

  • Great video.

  • Real nice looking. These old game magizines are much more fun to look at then the new ones. Also the artwork is great. Nice video.
