@SideWaysiscool No! The Char that piloted the machine that forced him to use all his skill to survive and come out on top was the best!... But then again, Char is Char. Char was just unfamiliar with how Char used to fight, especially in a Zaku, because one wouldn't expect a Zaku to fight that way against a Dias, especially due to the other units he'd trashed. In essence; Char wasn't used to fighting Char due to Char's badassitude, so Char didn't know how to properly assess Char. Get it?

In the remake of Zeta Gundam movies. Char is a lot stronger. In fact I think in the original Zeta Gundam he never got a chance to work with the best MS at the time.

(Due to budget constraints of AEUG maybe. It's kind of unfair to compare him with other pilots at the time of U.C.0087.)

@MRIlls Brownie points for noticing that! Yeah, Shin used the weapon more, and Char used his Zaku more. If it truly fought like Char, we'd have seen a kick, or even a bitch-smack, at that range. Oddly enough though, the Rick Dias made Char get too used to the weaponry, as you could notice him trying to use the great all-range compliment from the beam pistols, cannon, and even the 55mm phalanx when the Zaku got to close. Bad to rely too much on weapons, as seen. >>;;

in japan "V" and "B" both sound the same. in japan they used "Vageena" while in dub they changed it to Bageena; possible so that english watcher wont laugh that  "vageena" sounds like "vagina." note: in a certain gundam version game bad translation had the name as "Quattro Vagina"

First of all I find it funny that Char loses to a zaku II (albiet one on steroids.) in a rick dias which is much newer and supposedly a better machine. Secondly that the pilot data for the zaku II he was fighting was none other than his own, and that he LOST to it.
