@baboonlurker the cymbals are real cymbals which of course do not come with the kit. The pad on the left above the floor tom triggers an analog hihat module which had been available during 1981 (Musicaid time) and early 1982 until Simmons replaced it by the digital hihat module

in the mtm manual it shows that the sds v hi hat pedal can be plugged into it and the cord from mtm to the sds v,so do you trigger sounds through the sds v pad which triggers mtm ,which triggers sounds via midi?

Great video! it's a shame that the old sds 7 modules have crappy connectors..

Should be possible to retrofit them with better ones, but then you'll probably have to rebuild it from scratch.. Anyway.. Nice!
