There's a rumor floating around that this song will be on the new album, not sure i believe it, but it would be kickass if it were. Also heard the new album is called "Holding onto strings better left frayed". Again this is all rumor. Its floating around the boards on seether.com.
dam sounds like he started back in 80's an wish i kan get this song know wer 2 be found oh an seether empty is kinda terable his old band playing empty is way better
I live in S.A I Know why its cuz the studio was full of hippies and Saron gas is homonym for that deadly nerve agent sarin gas and it took a while for them to say ok i'll change our name to something else
You can really hear the Nirvana influence on this song. Not saying that as a bad thing at all. I'm suprised they haven't kept this song its an epic track. Hopefully they release it next year on the 10th anniversary CD.
lol i guess you know nothin about seether, they didnt do a tribute to saron gas, they were saron gas. lol. but ya our horse shit government is a little pissy about that name saying its terroristic so they had to change it to seether.
I guess you know nothing about interprete things. This a tribute to Saron Gas that I've made. I know that they were Saron Gas... And that Empty is THEIR song.
i love seether. best damn band on the planet in my opinion. but it's also my opinion that finding beauty in negative spaces was kickass..but not the best. im totally in love with there songs from saron gas and early seether. my god there good. but nevertheless...fbins is totally kickass. i have the album. its great.
@picklemafia The album is okay...Not putting Seether down in any way..But compared to their other stuff its their worst album. Hopefully they turn things around with the new album. I'm seeing this band on April first im so fuckng excited
@picklemafia: Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces is indeed kickass. I own that album and I continue to listen to it over and over. It makes me sad though since Shaun Morgan dedicated it to his brother who committed suicide in his twenties. Regardless, that's probably why it's so amazing. A lot of Seether's best music stems from overcoming pretty big obstacles in life. Oh, and did I mention how great they are live? They rock! For sure.
FBINS is not my favourite album of all their discography, but their other albums are still here, and are perfect to me. I can't understand the people like you, 'cause their old songs are always in their setlist and you always can listen them.
Don't know why you lost a lot of respect for them... And they're good, as always. An album don't justify their whole career.
Well I'm not saying THAT. I can still enjoy old Seether, and y'know, every band is allowed to put out a crappy album every now and then. I'm just saying that Finding Beauty just plain wasn't that classy... It's like if your favourite comedian all of a sudden tells a really, really stupid fart joke.
I agree, FBINS is definatly the best album, sure some songs on it aren't all amazing, but it's one of my fav cds by any band
Btw, seether is amazing live, saw them a while ago, they were the middle band in a three band set, but everyone kinda ran out of energy after seether, cuz we went insane
the songs on finding beauty in my opinion werent structured the way i hoped... like this song and songs like fine again, driven under, and pride have a great structure and great vocal harmonies
@BlackstarSirius I didn't lose respect towards them. It's just disappointing to see a band like this go to waste. I mean I can listen to FBINS but it's shit compared to their older stuff. I heard that Shaun said that in their next album there will be heavier guitar riffs and less melody. So that gave me some light at the end of the tunnel but if their next album sucks I'm just gonna say old Seether is my favorite band.
oh and trust me listen to shaun morgan on a few e's and you will think kurt has been raised from the dead!!!!!!!!!!!!! im fukn certain of that. haha . you bewty!!!!
he drops so many words in his lyrics that kurt used that he is very obviously hung up on nirvana and yes he sounds like kurt only he holds his notes a lot better. but the guitars sound nothing the same and john humphreys could not be seated at the right hand of dave grohl ever. (please excuse the illustrative word use, im fairly pist writing this but i think you get my point- he is hung up on nirvana but extends on what they did)
I love seether, I love playing their music. And yes, when you look at some of the bass lines and some guitar riffs (like this) you will find Nirvana and other grunge bands are simular to that of Seether. Though Seether is slowly breaking away from stuff like Empty, which I think should be on BINS.
SARON GAS are the best band to ever come out of my beloved South Africa...They always had the best performances at the doors nightclub here in Edenvale..Shaun Welgemoed (Morgan) mentions the doors nightclub in his thanks in the Album cover of Disclaimer
Due to the heighted mood after the twin towers were taken down, the band thought it would be in their best interest to change their name to Seether (Veruca Salt) from Saron Gas (which is a deadly nerve gas used sometime around the second world war. Saron Gas' Fragile album is raw and unfiltered with little production, which is what the band still strives for. The Fragile album is an excellent addition to anyones music collection!
