Hi! I just wanted to first say how beautiful your skin and eyes and hair is. It does not look like you had any acne before. I have acne mainly on my cheeks. It is not very severe and the dermatologist I went to said I have MILD not SEVERE acne but he still let me go on accutane. I am just worried if accutane damages your liver? Also, I was wondering HOW SEVERE was your acne?

i have very slight acne and i'm on accutane. Im gonna be working outside alot this summer and obviously going to the beach a lot, and i was just wondering if you wore sunscreen when you were on it, and what spf you wore to still get color, but protect your skin. oh and btw, you're ridicliously gorgeoussss. thanks for your help!

is cetaphil good for sensitive skin though (i have really sensitive/dry skin)? i heard it has sodium laureth sulfate in it, which is irritating.

@angelmist15 Hmm, you may be right about that. I'm not sure. Another cleanser you could try is Purpose brand- it's called Gentle Cleansing Wash.

@angelmist15 i have sensitive skin (i'm not on accutane, but i use a lot of different acne products and am very fair, burn easily, get dry easily, etc. etc.) and cetaphil/cvs brand daily cleanser worked for me along with cetaphil/cvs brand moisturizing CREAM. i recently bought the cvs brand gentle cleanser by accident and it doesnt seem to be irritating either, but it doesn't work as well at removing makeup and gunk

@angelmist15 My dermatologist recommended that I only use Cetaphil while I was on Accutaine. If you are not on Accutaine, I am think you would really like it-saying that you have sensitive skin.

The lotion/cream does leave a bit of a film on your skin right after you apply it. I find that it completely soaks in over night though. :)

I notice some people don't even look like they have a lot of acne during their 'acutane diaries'. Did you have SEVERE Acne or moderate acne?

And is acccutane a lot better for people with more oily skin?

@RepublicanSinger there is an 80% relapse rate for accutane users. be aware that acne CAN come back, but it wont be nearly as bad as before and easy to control. i have very minor small acne after my course, but its not an issue at all. i personally believe that accutane is only appropriate for people who have severe acne, that cannot be treated with other products

When i did it my acne wasn't that bad, but it was persistent. I just asked and we decided it would be a good choice.

I have not been on accutane and i dont want to be unless i absolutely have no choice.

Good for you... your skin looks great! :-) Glad it all worked out in the end. I found when i finished that my skin kept improving for like 3or4 months, then stabilised.. so things might get even better. Ur comments about wearing sunscreen all the time made me laugh though, i live in London, UK. Wearing sunscreen year-round here would be way beyond wishfull thinking... maybe crazy! All the best.
